QUOTE(DuO LoN @ Feb 1 2015, 10:16 PM) this umobile getting worse by the way. yesterday i was back in my hometown in bentong. guess what? my usb modem (given by umobile) wasn't functioning at all. i reli though the modem was spoilt because when i transferred the simcard to my phone, it was usable. tried the whole day but the modem just wouldn't work. keep getting error message saying the modem is faulty According to what you are telling, there are lack of a lot of information yet now as im back in kl (pj area), it works absolutely fine. i mean, what shit is this? if i had followed my instinct and when ahead to get a new modem, i would have waste 100 over bucks. what the f*** is wrong with umobile man? absolutely disappointing. might switch to maxis soon if they keep this rubbish up. 1. Did you put other telco Sims into that modem to try @ bentong? 2. What's exactly the error and what brand is the USB modem , how long did you purchased it 3. You mean when you put the umobile Sims into your phone then it is working well? Then what make you think that that's umobile problem when you are able to use the Sims in your phone |

QUOTE(DuO LoN @ Feb 1 2015, 10:42 PM) 1. when i first plugged the modem into the phone, i couldn't connect on the broadband manager. basically i just couldn't click the connect button. i tried connecting directly from the windows network n sharing centre and it says "there is a problem with your modem." Regarding the modem 2. i tried transferring the sim to my phone. i could use it but only occasionally because the coverage was horrible (sometimes 1 bar, sometimes none). 3. now that i am back in kl. the modem is suddenly working fine (with the sim card in it) on my first try. 4. this modem was supplied to me by umobile. so obviously i am entitled to complain about it. this is not a third party modem which i brought on my own. it even has the umobile logo on it. if you are going to supply substandard modems, then don't bother supplying it. 5. in this kind of scenario, there are only 2 possible explanations : a) modem is faulty - which is very unlikely simply because it was working fine for the past few months. hell it is working fine now. b) the coverage sucks. take your pick. 1.All digi maxis Celcom including umobile are supplying the same model from either HUAWEI or ZTE, even with umobile logo on it, it is still exactly same as other telco's modem, so it is a very dumb idea to blame umobile just because it's logo printed on the modem. So whenever you found something sucks in your life and you found that made in China is printed on it, you may complain about China till the end of the world. 2. I assume you are not that smart to make clear of that your house @ bentong is having strong connection, you could ask it here POLITELY so I believe there are a lot of forumers are willing to tell you how to check about the coverage, how to make your network reception better.there are lot more possibilities that you having poor connections of network, completely out of coverage is another story like some area @ raub which I would bring a Celcom broadband everytime I back raub. So I couldn't see the problem when I know my area is poor of umobile, I simply don't use it, but 99% of my time staying@ KL umobile is the best network so I continue using it when back to KL. Take your pick Think twice before you realize that no 1 is paid to listen your poor complain with such behave because this is only a thread to share information and to help to answer some questions and problems. I would say sorry if you think that I am not polite here, before that please check your sentences. Have a nice day. This post has been edited by CnY Garage: Feb 1 2015, 11:17 PM |

QUOTE(kding2 @ Feb 2 2015, 01:18 PM) Just learned that UMI 30 is now offering 1.5gb quota. It is good but too bad that the free call got reduced to 30 mins and free sms is gone. I'm conflicted. there is no UMI40And what is the point of UMI 40? It offers less quota for its price. Is there any news that Umobile going to increases the max 20GB quota for broadband in the future? Haha. only umi38 with more call and less data. actually comparing the new umi30 and old umi28 as below umi28 = 1gb 50mins 30sms umi30 = 1.5gb 30 mins no sms so umi30 (call rate 0.1/min) add 20mins normal call= RM 2, 30sms worth RM2.4 so basically you are paying RM 34.4 for 1.5gb 50 mins 30sms so 0.5gb = RM 6.4 hehe, worth or not depends your point of view lo |

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Feb 2 2015, 03:28 PM) Basically if you don't finish 1GB previously with UMI28, then you pay RM6.4 for nothing =) Yup true, so they still allow for umi 28 renewal for customers to stick with 1GB package, haha don't forget renew oh, that's 1 way ticket to umi30 Move is meant to get more money for U, and for customer we also get more (in data), but have to pay more too. I will stick to my UMI28 for now while considering my usage. I don't really hit 1 GB anyway. |

QUOTE(sofeadraa @ Feb 4 2015, 11:55 AM) Yesterday I went to Plaza Alam Sentral to switch from maxis to umobile because maxis line to me is sucks. Anyhow, there's a place there told me the surcharge for mnp service would be rm30 and the sim would be 0 credit. So I was contemplating of switching. Then I went to other shop which charge me only rm10 for mnp service. Even though the sim is 0 credit still consider cheap to me. The question is why would they charge up till rm30? I just don't get it. I've used umobile before with different number when I used dual sim phone. Now since I switched to other phone I need to use my main number which is maxis number. And that's why I did mnp. Have a nice day everyone. actually the correct information, is balance should be RM 0.5 inside the card after mnp and what make them charge so high just simply bully u because there are very less center of umobile anyway, u may still enjoy discount by top up or paying your umobile bill with me |

QUOTE(sitescope @ Feb 4 2015, 01:51 PM) can't la, this move very obvious increase price for CALL already, they rather to free more data rather than free callbut RM 0.1 is the best rate among the market, unbeatable price rate. if he/she really need more call, UMI38 still exist, it is exactly same as Umi28 with only extra RM 10 for 100 mins which also RM 0.1 / min, and this plan is included for the RM 0.1 / min after free mins. Monthly Fee RM38 High Speed Internet 1GB Free Calls To All Network 150 Mins Free SMS To All Network 30 SMS Carry Forward Talktime up to 2x your allocated minutes** Pay-As-You-Use Call All Network 5sen/30sec Free Internet Roaming 50MB EVERY DAY*** Package Validity 30 Days QUOTE(sitescope @ Feb 4 2015, 01:53 PM) I know... saja ask uM to reduce 500mb with rm10... haha where got telco cut price 1, only free other thing only ma =.=Below is korek... umobile will use up the 50 min/months ( all network even if call to umobile) then only free the 30 min if umobile same network and charge 5cent for every 30 second block if diff network |

Umobile celaka! Now cannot change back to U88 sumore. They think they can act like Dumno cheat us! feel sad for your caseu should make complain to the sales person, but umobile did mention it @ faq U88 U80 did mention the free call to UMOBILE / to OTHER network now p50 and p70 free mins is to ALL NETWORK (which is same as prepaid Umi), utilized it first before the free call 30min to umobile |

QUOTE(adamw @ Feb 5 2015, 05:28 PM) When I call the CS yesterday he was still damn sure that when I call Umobile lines that it is not deducted from main. Umobile should be responsible for the actions of their staff. Anyway, their advert is very misleading. And those website that announced the plan should have highlighted this 30mins isue eg Soyacincau & Lowyat forum you SHOULD and you MUST check this thread before you going to deal something with the OFFICIAL PERSON IN CHARGE, because we are REAL customers and we care the T&C and the charges a lot more than those who sitting there answer some call, different person telling different story Customer service. When they try to manipulate it, why they need to Highlight it, the changed is written properly and also included @ T&C, so they could exclude their responsibility, same to all Telco like DiGi claim that Unlimited calls or Maxis 1 plan propaganda。Just try to take a look at here first because we have no point to mislead you anyway you might still enjoy 5% discount paying your bill or top up umobile with me |
