For UMI28, data up 500MB, but talk time reduced to 50 mins (previously 100)
For UMI38, data up 500MB, but talk time reduced to 150 mins (previously 200)

No change to UMI 18 & 48 I think.

But I can see this will eat into Postpaid U28 plan ohmy.gif

i find it funny for new umi28, u get 1gb data + call + sms... for those tablet user that normally mnthly usage less then 1gb, previously they renew every 2 weeks rm15 for 500mb data , now they can jsut get umi28 and get 1gb, and sweet point is last for 1 month and save rm2, free call + sms burn also no diff

Actually they're doing this very unprofessionally.

They didn't give any announcement, sms or notification to tell us the changes.

Like for the validity period change from 3X to 2X, make me keep wondering why I reload RM10 but expiry date is in 20 days time.

Looks like time to search for other service providers for my seldom/hardly used line.

And for those who are on UMI28 for example, they might burn off their credit if they didn't know that it reduced to 50 minutes after renewal.

I am on UMI 28 500MB now and the auto-renew will be going through so should I stop the auto renew to get the 1GB UMI 28?

No need to do anything. Just make sure got enough credit.

RM0: Yr next UMI28 renewal will be 1GB data, 50 min & 30 SMS. Carried forward balance will be at the max of 100min & 60 SMS. Ensure enough credit for renewal.

Horrible, terrible, shafted, compromised, dis-enhanced.

Losing 50% of your talk time to load 80% more useless kitteh videos on youtube is the worst thing that can happen with umobile. Shame on U for shafting the entire customer base without conducting a survey on whether this plan will fit everyone's needs, shame on U!

i believe they do some survey before making this change to fit more ppl who need more data rather than keep wasting the FREE MINS where maximum only 200 mins total brought forward

cut of 50% of the free calls and add 100% of the data,
50% of 100 mins =50mins = 50*0.18 = RM 9
500mb = RM 15 (hotlink 1gb is RM 30, umobile 500mb for 15 days is RM 15)

so there is extra RM 6 increase in terms of the value, but of cause there is no such plan that FIT EVERY1 yawn.gif

actually in this case the most pity ppl are U28 postpaid customers who need 1gb data but couldn't enjoy any free mins, but soon new postpaid plans going to launch this month end, so just wait for it

can, but make sure ur UMI 48 expired 1st, then only CAN subscribe the MB68
yup once u subscribe u enjoy the 5gb + 5gb till finish, technically this promo ends 31 jan 2014, meaning u subscribe on 1 feb 2014 only 5gb, off peak 5gb no more

but i believe they would extend and extend 1 since so hot now brows.gif

need to wait till EXPIRED, meaning no more UMI48 plan with u, 30 days from the day u subscribe

now only 1 option = buy BOOSTER RM 10 3 days 1gb, thats how they earn ur money rclxms.gif

it is not going to suit everyone.

ppl who use up 1gb of data, half their usage is on youtube vids and unnecessary surfing. A high percentage of these users would have kept these activities strictly with WiFi to save battery and have less frustration on loading times.

ppl who use up 80% of their talk time have useful things to do, any love talk or trashtalk is better done with whatsapp with emoticons and picture attachments, and these hardly take up any MB's a month.

here's my take on these changes,

Umobile knows that statistically, on average the talk time gets used up more often than data, and it is expensive to keep giving out more free calls than throwing out free data, since free data is hardly used up by the average consumer.

Why do you think Umobile is confident to throw out 1gb at everyone and take away 50% of talk time?

different point of view, umobile main advantage is cheap data and always yes, thats why they are so confident to withdraw back free mins rather than data, ppl who need lots call might take celcom and get small data package,

and my monthly statistic showing my customers got more than 80% using Umi28 and UMI48, umi18 and Umi 38 less than 10% each, yup you are true, the principle is TALKING more meaningful > WHATSAPP, but please bear in mind that they can use wechat to voice record and lots other DATA BASE talking apps

and most of my customers only ask for more data with prepaid while postpaid customers ask for more VOICE

thats why DATA is more popular compare VOICE in PREPAID at least cool2.gif

Hi there, I want to ask if I can remain my postpaid number and convert it to prepaid? I'm currently using U28 postpaid plan and I'm really interested in the new preapaid plan UMI28. TQ.
