What are the advantages in taking the prepaid broadband over the postpaid broadband?
For the same price, you get double the data by using postpaid. Can someone share on why they'd prefer prepaid? Trying to see if I miss any loopholes. |

QUOTE(thesoothsayer @ Jun 12 2014, 05:39 PM) What are the advantages in taking the prepaid broadband over the postpaid broadband? ur point is only applicable on the 5gb plan which free extra 5gb at MIDNIGHTFor the same price, you get double the data by using postpaid. Can someone share on why they'd prefer prepaid? Trying to see if I miss any loopholes. prepaid = flexible, can change plan or stop and continue @ anytime , booster 1gb, need to buy top up to subscribe postpaid = hassle free , just pay bill monthly, booster @ 1.5gb, better than prepaid 1gb by the way there is no best broadband package, only most suitable 1, for your information both plan i also got offer special discount |

I have a 24-month smartphone bundle under postpaid U28 starting since 27 July 2012.
So the contract is expiring next month on 28 July 2014. I have 2 questions: 1. If I want MNP to other telco operator such as Digi or Maxis, when is the best timing since the billing cycle is on 1st of every month? As far as I know, I will have to pay full month fee of U28 when MNP takes place after 1st day of each month. It is no longer pro-rated. If the MNP takes place on 3th of the month, then I will still have to pay full subscription of U28 which is not really worthwhile. 2. One of the requirements for MNP is to settle all postpaid outstanding bill. However, we only get our current month billing in following month. So how can we settle all our existing month bill before we submit our MNP request to Digi or Maxis? (FYI, I will even stop all chargeable outgoing call / sms so to make as standard bill of RM 29.70) Thanks for sharing if you have experience to port your existing U Mobile postpaid to prepaid of other telco. |

QUOTE(lowyatqueen @ Jun 15 2014, 08:56 AM) I have a 24-month smartphone bundle under postpaid U28 starting since 27 July 2012. 1) Counter check with UM that your contract indeed ends on 28/7/2014 , if yes confirmed , ask DG to key in the MNP on the morning of 29/7 [ Hari Raya 2nd day ~ no worries as MNP is computerised and only approved by a human that work overtime on that day or the next morning as 30th is a working day ] So the contract is expiring next month on 28 July 2014. I have done numerous MNP from UM ~ DG and other telcos vice versa, and UM as donor telco is the fastest telco that releases the line to the Recipient telco, I remember one case that MNP from UM ~ DG gets completed within 30mins. Btw, I do provide MNP Services and also can help you to pay UMobile and other Postpaid Bills too. Read my MNP thread to get more info abt my services. |

QUOTE(speedhunter @ Jun 16 2014, 02:24 PM) Hi guys. Yes, you can do it at a Service Center.Want to ask. Currently me & my wife is using U28 plan. Can I - convert to Unlimited 50 My wife - convert to member plan Thank you. If they dun allow due to 2 different names/owners, MNP out both numbers and have the numbers merge into a single name account to facilitate the MNP to U50 with member line. I have done the MNP of one Postpaid + one Prepaid into U50 before. |
