Has Soundbars Improved to Usable Levels?

Hi, want to ask some compatibility questions between my TV and the soundbar with atmos. Currently looking to upgrade my old 2.1 soundbar to 3.1.2 or 5.1.2 but after I checked to know that my few years old TV can only support dolby digital plus.
Does it mean the TV sound processing will limit the soundbar to 5.1 if unable to handle the atmos? Or it wouldn't be an issue as long i have a TV Box that has atmos support? |
