I'm thinking to get SONY HT-RT5. About RM1600 now. I know its old.
Reason for considering this is that it is real 5.1 channel with rear speakers.

Any recommendation for sound bar with real rear speakers and doesn’t run on batteries like B5. Read that battery has life span

The only setback of HT-RT5 is that it doesn’t have HDR pass though. If you use ARC or Optical, you will only get the standard decoding like compressed DD and DTS. Not the loss less. That is what i read

Bro. I even called Sony to ask. There 4k but not 4k HDR from soundbar

How does he Yamaha 207 fare?
Can you really feel the surround with just front speakers?

Another one in consideration for me is Sony HT-RT5, just restocked RM1.6K, my dealer told me Yesterday. Just that it doesn't has a HDR pass though so am now considering Yamaha.
Was also considering Polk Magnifi SR, but at 3.2K was too expensive for a around bar.
Both has rear speakers.

Dont think you can compare. RT5 is a real surround. I take RT5 anytime

Yupp i personally prefer real 5.1 speakers surround. But not too keen with batteries.
So i went with HT-RT5

Yes. Come with Cal mic.
I find the volume too soft on Netflix. Some movies is ok.
I don’t get good front sound separation. Probably becos the Center and front surround is too near to each other. I don’t feel enclosed either. So with this 5.1 channel already not really satisfied, I wonder how those single Soundbar feels like.

Coming from a HT Marantz and Wharfedale, I’m disappointed. But no choice since I moved from landed to condo. A full HT would have shaken my neighbours.
