Wish to get some comments/inputs about soundbar in these two categories :-

1. Soundbar around rm1600. Can use Samsung HW Q600B as example.

2. Soundbar around rm2400. Can use Samsung HW Q800 as example.

Price difference rm800.

My question. Are there big difference in sound quality and effects in the two ? In other words, is the additional rm800 really worth it ?

Where to put the rear speakers is the headache. No tables at the back. Need to get some kind of speaker stands or tables.

My living room is 500 sqft, give or take.
Currently using Samsung 65' AU7000.

As per my understanding the TV only supports Dolby Digital Plus and no ATMOS. I'm looking to either purchase 3.1 or 5.1 soundbar. This would be my first soundbar purchase.

I've narrow down to Samsung Q600B or Edifier B700 since the price range is quite similar. I'm open to more suggestions.

Sometimes I don't understand the logic of this.

I buy soundbar because tv speakers suck. Then you buy a soundbar but still pair with tv speaker to use together. Doesn't it defeat the purpose of getting a soundbar in the first place.

2. Edifier B700
3. Sony HT-X8500
4. Samsung Q600B

I've done a bit of googling, seems those are on the similar price range but am really confused at the same time,
can't really decide which one is better.

wow soundbars can do 5.1 now?
I would think you need a very boxed room to get this effect from a front facing soundbar? what if it's a big living room, or a room without a wall on either sides?

Super short, because I mati mati wanted the cable the travel inside the pipe, so by the time it came out that's about the distance it can connect to my wall on the leftmost plug you see without over stretching the cabling.

I just went for the Q990B and I'm loving it. It's a great price. Currently in the US it's going for $1500 USD. I bought mine from Harvey Norman at RM3,499 (asked them to price match with Shopee). Not sure if there are still stock lying around but you can call a few branches near you to ask. SenQ/Senheng has stock as far as I know, but not sure if they can price match with Shopee, worth a shot.

I have not encountered any of the rear speaker/subwoofer connection drop issues, thankfully. It would be ideal if you could place the rear speakers within line of sight of the soundbar. Not sure if your wifi router being close would affect it due to interference but it also goes without saying that you should have strong wifi connectivity from where your speakers are to avoid possible issues.

Play around with SpaceFit Sound/AutoEQ, and try the adaptive and surround sound modes to see which you like most. I'm currently using surround mode.

Amazing value for money considering that I was looking at the Sonos Arc and it would cost me RM11k+ to get a matching setup with a sub and rears! Insane price difference for similar/better (subjective) quality. Go for the Q990B and you won't regret it!

I gave a call to the branch nearest to me. They had 1 stock left. I told them, Shopee can find seller offering RM3,499. Preferred/Shopee Mall sellers so it's legit with reviews etc. The sales person on the phone said he'll check and called me back. Then he called me back saying they can price match but just one condition is that I can't do EZPay/CC instalment. I agreed, told them to hold the stock for me and went off to pick it up It was a win-win situation for me because the shop on Shopee was from Pahang and I didn't want to have it shipped or drive up there so I'm glad I managed to get the same price at a nearby Harvey Norman for a quick purchase.

I think depends on luck - different branch with different sales person/managers will react differently to this. They love to use the excuse that Shopee/online is different and they can only match other physical stores price but you must be firm, it is possible.

wanted to get Q990B for its value for money, but my sofa is in the middle of a condo living room. my headache is on the power wire will be lying across the floor to the power plug. any suggestions from anyone if you have ways of doing it? (except adding power plugs on the floor under sofa.

Is the Q-series soundbar HW-Q990B & Q-series soundbar HW-Q930B perfect match with Sony TV (x90h)? Because the Sony Soundbar seem is overpriced

Actually which location is the best to put the rear speakers? My sofa will be at the middle of the living room as well. Is there a big difference between putting the rear speakers right behind sofa vs. putting near the wall (rougly 3m away from sofa) but increase the rear speaker volume?

Is this the one where some sellers on Lazada/Shoppee selling on pendrive? I asked a few but all said couldn't promise if got Atmos....

How do you stream movies to your TV? Most ppl recommend plex online. Some just HDMI from their laptop. What do you use? Haha, just curious.
