Hello gurus.. I do not have a high requirement on sounds, as long as the sounds quality are better than the TVs. I came across 2 soundbars that are on sales, Sony HT-CT80 for RM399 and LG LAS550H for RM699.

I did some online comparison here, http://www.which.co.uk/reviews/sound-bars/compare and found LG LAS550H is better in terms that it has a wireless subwoofer and has HDMI output. Can anyone with experience with one or both of these soundbars give their real life experience? Or gurus with technology experience provide some techie comments?

Sorry, I know those 2 soundbars are not high tech but I think it will fit my purpose.

Go try it out in electronic shop... Bring your own movies or music along. Tried the lg sound board that you mentioned. The sound quality is quite good and loud, the SA was playing some music from YouTube. But wasn't really happy with the silver color design. Then went to Sony centre nearby and asked for the cheapest sound bar available with subwoofer( as I already had one CT-770, looking for another one for bed room only). I felt like my altec Lansing pc speakers are better than that. Then the SA let me tried out HT-NT3, and I was sold instantly biggrin.gif

I had a Sony CT-770 before, and I think the the HT-NT3 is a lot better than CT-770. The HT-NT3 sound is more balanced for hi and low frequency, whereas the CT-770 Bass is a bit too much and boomy... And not to mention the HT-NT3 has better design to be used for wall mount purpose biggrin.gif
