has been surveying soundbar quite a while... has been quite undecisive as whether to get old but good soundbar or get 1 with dolby atmos.
old models i'm considering is Yamaha YAS 207 or LG SN11R. new model i'm considering is Sonos beam gen 2, samsung HW Q800C i would like to ask soundbar with dolby atmos makes much difference? This post has been edited by cycheah: Mar 15 2024, 12:13 PM |

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Mar 15 2024, 12:46 PM) Audio purist will tell you it doesn't matter, sound bar will never match a full HT setup this i understand... my personal hobby/ gaming room is quite small.. from TV to door in a straight line about 11ft only. But if space and budget is a constrain and you still want to feel some surround effects, get a system which comes with or at least expandable with satellite speakers. A single bar is not gonna give you that surround effect if comes with satellite speaker, i'm considering LG SN11R, old model but found a good price. |

QUOTE(Kahlamx @ Mar 15 2024, 03:52 PM) are you using those soundbars for gaming or watching movies? Make sure to do a bit of research if those models got dolby atmos audio delay when gaming. probably direct connect with HDMI would be better than wireless? I am using cheap entry 2021 Samsung Q600A with my LG CX and I get very noticeable audio delay on my Series X when Dolby Atmos is turned on. I know at least a person with 2020 Q950T does the same thing also. Watching movies then no problem. i would mainly use for gaming... movies would be secondary. i'm still hesitating which to get. but of course there are some great soundbar that are out of my budget like the sony ht a7000, sonos arc, bose soundbar. Since i'm using LG C1, i'm wondering to get back LG also for better performance , i'm eyeing on a 2nd hand LG SN11R |
