Would appreciate if there is anyone can share the review or experience using it. Thank you!

QUOTE(minano0001 @ Feb 3 2023, 02:17 PM) never tried it but for rm2k its not cheap. for that price i would rather go samsung or sony I gonna agreed with you. Any thoughts on the following: 1. Yamaha YAS-209 2. Edifier B700 3. Sony HT-X8500 4. Samsung Q600B I've done a bit of googling, seems those are on the similar price range but am really confused at the same time, can't really decide which one is better. Any thoughts?

Alright guys. I've narrowed it down to 2 choices, hope all the experts here can share their inputs here:
1. Sony G700 2. Edifier B700
I chose those two because my TV has eARC. Initially plan to get a real 5.1 system but those didn't support eARC within my budget. So I thought might as well fully utilise my TV sound system.
Both of them share the similar price range too.
Thank you =)

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Feb 17 2023, 08:21 AM) I'm using the China version, B70. Same speaker different model number. Bought it from Taobao instead and lucky didnt get taxed by kastam. I think around 13xx including shipping. I think hard to find reviews for this model since B series is low end. Not very powerful but enough to fill my living room (my living room is a bit big, 22ft x 15ft). Subwoofer is a bit small for my liking but does it job somewhat. Probably more suited for those living in condo. Sometimes when I watched movies on hotstar, I crank it up to 100%. Thanks mate for the reply. I will not proceed to purchase this model then. Planning to get samsung Q990 or 930b since they have pretty good reviews with affordable price around 3k+. Heard rumor the newer C version is coming up soon too.

QUOTE(IntensiveBytes @ Feb 26 2023, 02:02 AM) To Q990B users… which speaker stands do you use for your rears? The ones I bought do not work 😭 Screw hole is not tall enough. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/suitable...3131393463.html <———- AVOID! Yeah man. Is super hard to find the right speaker stands for those Q990b rear speakers. Initially I plan to get the stands from lazada too, but saw one of the reviews mentioned it is not the right height, so i am still searching for the right stand bro. Have you came across the right one? another alternative is those speaker stands selling on shopee (but those you can't fix it at the back)

QUOTE(ikeiyou @ Feb 27 2023, 03:16 PM) wow soundbars can do 5.1 now? I would think you need a very boxed room to get this effect from a front facing soundbar? what if it's a big living room, or a room without a wall on either sides? the 5 is just referring to the numbers of speakers they have la. for me is more like a 3.1, 3 front firing squeeze into the soundbar, then another 2 rear speakers at the back. For those claim compatible with dolby atmos or dts X like 5.1.2, the two are referring to the up firing channels, which supposedly create the over the top sound effect, in order to re-create the sound bubble, as they claimed. so with affordable pricing, one can still enjoy the "near-theater" exp at home. If money is not an issue, of course the high end AVR setup will be the best
