QUOTE(piglover @ May 29 2017, 12:05 AM) I'm using las750M or HS7 which is a discontinued product. It's a 4.1 channel sound bar supporting Dolby Digital or DTS. I'm not an audiophile, but I can say that the sound quality is very good when watching movies or programs in Dolby Digital. The LG Bluetooth sound sync which can be used with LG TVs is not particularly great though, initially I bought this sound bar to connect to my LG TV using the Bluetooth feature thinking it is cools to connect without cords but it doesn't pass through Dolby Digital signals wirelessly and occasionally the connection drops, hence I just use an optical cable now. If your TV is a 2015 model and later, you can connect your decoders and boxes to your TV, and use your TV to switch the HDMI inputs. Just configure the TV to pass through the multichannel surround sound to your sound bar. If you have an old TV, this might not be possible and you will only get PCM 2.0 sound from the sound bar. It has music flow which I do not use. One isssue I had is that when watching Dolby Digital movies, sometimes the conversation gets drowned in all the sound effects. The sound bar has a Dynamic Range Control function but I feel at times it doesn't help that much. Otherwise, it's quite a decent sound bar. I would recommend get a 4.1 channels or more sound bar. It's better than 2.1 setup. This post has been edited by abhipraaya: May 29 2017, 12:48 PM |

QUOTE(skyfusion @ May 31 2017, 03:34 PM) bro, can you teach me how you configure TV to passthrough multichannel sound to soundbar? Currently im using Optical cable from TV to soundbar and from my set top box to TV via HDMI. Look under AV Sync adjustment, turn this function on.Thanks Under this function, turn on "Bypass", your TV will send through multichannel surround sound received from your satellite decoder etc connected to the TV's HDMI port to your sound bar via optical. Your TV need to have this AV Sync feature, if it doesn't, then the only way to receive Dolby Digital signal is to connect your satellite decoder to your soundbar HDMI in and from the sound bar HDMI ARC port to the TV ARC port, but let me warn you that this ARC method never work flawlessly, it's very cumbersome using this method as the moment you turn on your tv and sound bar, the sound bar will switch (annoyingly) automatically to ARC mode and you have to manually switch the input to HDMI IN on your sound bar remote each time. I don't know who invented this ARC connection, it just doesn't work elegantly. The elegant and less headache way is to use the AV Sync function and it works like a charm. Many people do not know this. They buy a good multichannel sound bar with DD decoder but only to end up listening to 2 channel PCM stereo which is such a waste. Please ensure you connect your sound bar correctly to the TV. If setting not done right, you'll be listening to only PCM 2.0 sound from your multichannel sound bar instead of Dolby Digital!
