I mean picked up a q990c a while back and it’s been just amazing. I was on the ‘don’t wanna compromise and get a soundbar’ camp before, but it’s pretty spectacular if you have a medium size space.

I mean if music is your priority, and you’re an audiophile nothing beats a pair of bookshelves from a reputable brand. If your focus is surround sound and movies or gaming, soundbars are great. Don’t get me wrong, soundbars are okay for music but you can get much better sound from bookshelves for the same price.

But those same bookshelves won’t be as good for movies or gaming. So it’s a question for you on what you want, and what compromises you’re willing to make. Soundbars are compact and fit in most rooms no problem without worry about wiring up surround speakers and stuff.

I didn’t need the pass through hdmi2.1. Picked up the C instead for the room. 3k. D was 4K after discount.

Yeah nice to have for sure. High refresh rate gaming isn’t really top of my req list, and I often find myself being sensitive to trusting anything other than a proper avr to handle pass through. I don’t really game competitively. Ps5-990c-c9, living room has the c3.
