Bought Philips TAB8967 soundbar
I think cheapest with rear speaker.
Sounds good to me.. (me not golden ear) 😅
Works well with my fire cube.
Haven't fully tried it with atmos movies.

Need to find rear speaker stand also..

And i can't seems to link it with my wifi using Google Home app .. 🤔

My soundbar sub after some placement, below Fire Cube, it got some dub2/thumping noise.. once a while..
turns out the wireless signal got disrupted by 5Ghz router wifi.. turning of 5Ghz did solve the problem.. now have to find other placement for sub.. doh.gif

Hi all, for Samsung Q990B rear speakers' extension cable, which kind of plug I should choose? (T1 or T2?)

see the power adapter pin. if only 2 pin, T1 (or the cheapest) will suffice. as 2 pin AC input doesn't have Earthing.

Hey bro,
I guess you are using the same model right ?
How was it ?
And mind sharing where do you get yours ?
*
Yes.
I think the lowest price soundbar with wireless sub and rear.
Sound is great, but sure cant compete with higher tier (and price) from sony/jbl/sonos..

Great sound from atmos input.. DD5.1 also supported.. not sure about DTS-X.. didnt have any av sample from dts-x.

Sound setting as usual, bass/treable, subwoofer/rear/center.
Atmos preset 3 step.
Subwoofer preset 6 step.

Preset eq:
movie (somehow this eq the voice abit low - on low volume, better if high volume)
music (not so great)
voice and stadium eq much better at least for me for movie watching ( the voice much clearer)

Got it at Harvey Norman 1U, 3 months back iirc.. on sales.

hey, thanks for sharing your review,
initially would consider those 5.1 setup but the new 3.1 setup seems can do the job well...
hmm...  unsure.gif

for atmos like.. should be 3.1.2 rite. .2 for the virtual from top sound

but if u prefer surround sound (with sound from the back), better off with 5.1.(2) system.. unsure.gif

Do u guys with wireless subwoofer have any crackling sound with 5Ghz wifi turn on?

My Fire TV cube currently sit above (on shelf) the subwoofer.

Sub and Cube 2 feet from main soundbar on the left side (facing tv view)

I still wonder how the soundbar can mimic the rear speaker function by "firing" the sound from the front speaker.
Really works well?
*
That up firing meant to be bounce for virtual top sound.
the virtual rear is from side bounce.

but yeah.. doesn't really work well.. unless u have 'perfect' square room with non obstruction.

So ppl are lowering the expecation of good sound system for not getting the real surround sound it should be.

still can get those soundbar with external rear speakers.. mostly wireless now.. but still need power input.. unless those fully wireless with rechargeable rear speakers.. wink3.gif
