I'm thinking to get SONY HT-RT5. About RM1600 now. I know its old.
Reason for considering this is that it is real 5.1 channel with rear speakers.

Any recommendation for sound bar with real rear speakers and doesn’t run on batteries like B5. Read that battery has life span

Just ordered the SONY HT-RT5 today at Harvey Norman. Tested the SONY HT-CT800 and Yamaha YAS-207 also before making the order. For the price range, I felt it's the best bang for you buck as you get 5.1 and 550w. From the demos played, in my opinion the HT-RT5 has the best sound quality among the three. Harvey Norman is having a raya offer for the HT-RT5 at RM 1733, CT 800 at RM 1299 and YAS-207 at RM1508.

The only setback of HT-RT5 is that it doesn’t have HDR pass though. If you use ARC or Optical, you will only get the standard decoding like compressed DD and DTS. Not the loss less. That is what i read

Where did you read that bro? I checked the reviews and specs, for HDMI ARC pass through there's 4k and DTS HD. However, if you use optical it's just standard DTS, but that applies to all soundbars.
