Yup. Outside is usually RM4299 to RM3999. RM4600 consider a good deal. Just checking if anyone know any better.haha

Hunting for Q90R too.. saw the cheapest from shopee around 3.8k, last unit that's why i hesitated. Going to Harvey Norman next week audition the Q90R first before i pull the trigger. HN price is 4,199 with 2 years installment. Btw, i've been reading in avforums, samsung forums that there's distortion on the sub and soundbar due to the wifi signal (5ghz) interference.
Anyone user updated the firmware of the ARC to E-ARC? Heard it improves the sound overall. But your display has to be E-ARC compliance too. Happy to know so many Q90R supporters. biggrin.gif

anyone can help me decide whether to go for
1. SAMSUNG HW-Q60R/XM Panaromic Soundbar
2. Yamaha YAS-209 Sound Bar With Wireless Subwoofer
*
I'm using YAS-207 its good for movies and music (my primary). Planning to upgrade to Q90R now. biggrin.gif

Upgraded already? I'm looking at Q80R, don't think i want more wires running around the back for rear speakers of the Q90R.
Managed to find a friend who was interested in my 207 as well lol, so if she really buys it in the end i'll jump on the Q80R.
*
Sold my 207.. bought Q90R. Not bad because I use it in my room. For those dolby vision / atmos effect, its very dependent on the media. I watch a few netflix movie with DV/DA but seems like the rear speaker only activated at certain times and the volume is very low. But documentary like F1 drive to survive (s2) really good. Can really feel the intensity when racing / crash. Other than that not much comment for a small setup / budgetary. biggrin.gif

Did you sell your 207 in lowyat garage sale forum? How much did you manage to sell it for?
You'll probably get more out of your soundbar through a proper blu-ray player + blu-ray discs. Netflix content are heavily compressed.
*
I have another setup in the living room so all the heavy stuff is there. but my parents has been monopolizing the living room with the android players 24/7. dry.gif
And stopped but collecting BD's for quite sometime now just depend on netflix.
The 207 i sell at carou**ll. not bad.. decent & honest buyers. tongue.gif

How’s the Q90R for a room? I’m planning to do the same for my bedroom as well, but looking at the Q80R. Does it perform good at low volume? Or it needs to be cranked up. If it’s volume dependent then I won’t buy.

Btw, my NU8000 doesn’t support e-arc. Will it have problems playing 5.1 on the Q80R? Atmos is for future proofing.

The cheapest Q90R I found was from Tanradio, Rm3300, it sold out within a few days. & you guys think the Q80R will go cheaper or now is the peak already?
*
Wow.. its a steal at rm3,300. TBH is an uprgrade from my YAS-207. Rear speakers only perform depending on your media. I suggest you go for audition, not sure your low volume expectation is same as me because for movies i only open max 15 for my small bedroom.
No e-arc is not an issue.. u just don't get the expected effect from your soundbar. sad.gif

Wow you guys should download/get Ad Astra. I’ve tested a number of movies so far from Matrix to Blade Runner 2049 to Saving Private Ryan and even Jenn77’s F1, and so far Ad Astra really shows the Atmos effect so well for a soundbar that I’m quite shocked. Real height object placement. Seriously don’t regret buying this now 😆
Q80R then. Exactly the same as Q90R without the rears.

wow.. the wise one has spoken biggrin.gif .

Q800T is more like Q70R successor. Updated model for Q90R is Q950T. You can expect the newer models to be much more expensive than the current Q90R price though. Probably RM5-6k for the Q950T.
For the current price Q90R is still the best value Atmos soundbar.
*
Wow.. rm5-6k for a soundbar sounds extreme. For samsung I think getting a Q90R is a good time now.

So I bought some stands for my Q90R rear speakers from Lazada thinking of saving spending a load on the Vebos stands, but hell it is bloody hard to fit the cable through the pole.

Anyone interested in these? Willing to sell them at RM150, nearly 50% off the price I paid for them sweat.gif

You got it from Amazon? I prefer stands with cable concealment, but with Sanus your cable dangles down right?
*
I got in from a authorized seller in Penang. Not exactly, cable conceal behind the stand legs. But the back speaker power cables also very short.

This type?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002HZH...f-user-links-21

The stand seems very slim with no opening/hole inside the leg for the cable to go through. Or do you mean the cable just hanging behind the leg (and cello tape or something to the leg) to prevent it from dangling?
*
Eh no la.. so flimsy confused.gif I bought these
Sanus NF30

Ouch that's the worrisome part. Especially if you have pets, that is even harder to control.
And your speaker stands are big as well, imagine with satellite speaker stands sweat.gif

But wow, dented grill and scratch only after dropping from that height? Must give Samsung credit for making them durable, thought the speaker would have malfunction after a drop...
*
Lol.. my son was so worried he couldn't sleep at night. Every time when we watch movies he would stand near the fallen rear speakers to make sure it got sound. After a week he stopped monitoring.. and back to his own self devil.gif

I just bought the soundbar without TV.  Gonna pair with my 70inch tho.
Can my old ARC work with the new eARC?
*
Nope. My current TV also using ARC and my Q90 using E-ARC. Even HDMI 2.1 doesn't help because the output end not compatible with the input. I read that just you may not be able to enjoy the promised experience dry.gif

A7000 should be compared with Q990C instead

bang for buck Samsung will always win over Sony. the fact that you get full set system (sub + rears) for a lower price than Sony, and the sound quality is not far off as well
*
Good to know. I have the older set with Harman Kardon collab. So thinking of trying A7000 instead this round 😀

Suggest me soundbar with these priorities (in sequence)

1) Budget max RM3k
2) Surround sound (prefer no satellite speakers, if a must must not have any cord attached)
3) Include x.1.2 or more channels
4) Crisp > Bass
5) Dolby Atmos
6) DTS

Thanks!🙏
