For Samsung Soundbar HW-Q990D users, please DO NOT update the firmware to the latest version 1020 through auto update from Samsung "SmartThings" app!

If you have updated to version 1020, your soundbar will most probably bricked, and behave no sound, cannot press buttons on the top to reset to factory default, always display "TV eARC”, "BYE" displays will take longer time to get off..

Since auto update, the possibility the latest firmware will installed by itself

Thanks for the alert. Even though mine is Q990B but I disabled the auto update anyway, including for my S95D. Better switch to manual update after the rest of the world do the test first.

That's the best way as me myself also disable any auto update for all my devices, just incase 😑🔥

Hi all sifu... I'm new in soundbar and plan one with price max RM2.2K, want to have better sound (Cinematic surround if possible) with LG TV 55LB6500 (yes it's OLD with 1st gen WebOS).
We use it mainly for general TV show and Movie only. My choices:
- Sony HT-A3000
- Bose Smart Soundbar 600 (
- Yamaha SR-B40A

**Or any recommendation based on my requirement?

Thanks for the reply. Either All in one or with subwoofer are okay for me.
I explored Sonos Beam Gen2 (As recommended in earlier post I saw) and it's quite good and promising, somehow Spouse may kill me if I get it (exceed my budget) .

If you can wait abit longer, you can try to get samsung HW-Q990D, as the new model Q990F is out but not in Malaysia market yet. The HW-Q990D price may drops below RM3K when in Lazada or shopee promotion.

If you don't mind used ones, I saw some good price used Gen 2 in Mudah/FB Marketplace

Definitely no used unit... else will trigger spouse start bombarding me to spend thousand on used soundbar.

I'm okay with no rear.
