I observed that Sonos is considerably cheaper in overseas countries (eg. SG and US) vs Malaysia.

Can anyone share their experience in ordering from Amazon US or overseas countries (such as SG) in terms of the delivery experience (fees, hassle) and warranty claims?

had roam with me bought from us, DHL sent, no issues for me

never tried claiming warranty yet

but so far so good, sound is crisp and bass is good (but i wasnt expecting audiophile level to begin with)

Did you buy directly from Amazon US (if so, did you use forwarder?) or Sonos US?

amazon + forwarder, i used MYUS cuz got promo that time compared to comgateway, i usually buy adidas / nike that way too

I went Harvey Norman to check YAS209, not up to my liking, but the YSP1600 quality is fuller and caught my attention. Upon checking price, it is 2.15k but been 5@6 years old already.

I will check Q700A again and see if it match YSP1600 quality

Did u manage to check on the Q700A? I'm planning to get this but can't seem to test it at stores as this model wasn't on display before pulling the trigger.

I pulled my trigger on Q950A, no regrets and my friends are impressed with it as well. They are going to get it also.

I read somewhere theres a new model coming out soon. Just dont waste time on those budget soundbar, initially I wanted to get the highly rated Yamaha YAS209 but turn out when I went harvey norman to test it, even my wife is not impressed, some how some what we check and tested the Q950A and that is the one that makes my jaw drop.

A'ah I see... Thanks for the update mate.. However, as my living room isn't that wide with sofa placed about 8-9 ft from TV thus afraid that Q950A might be an overkill..

Definitely gonna be overkill considering the size of ur living room, mine is around the same as urs, 30% volume can be heard by the next door and the floor below can feel the bass.

Most of the time will be 15-25% of the volume only

How's the quality? Do you like or don't like as the display is facing to the ceiling not to us.

Music or movies much better with this?

If play YouTube music then the rear speakers got sound?

1. Quality is good, excellent to my likings, make sure you dont use Bluetooth nor Airplay to stream, link your spotify account to it and inside spotify apps select the output as your Soundbar. The song will stream directly from the soundbar, quality is noticeably better!

2. Movie is better and immediately you can feel the bass when watching netflix opening, it gives u the cinema feel. I played some movie and theres scene of door opening, when my friends were with me they were shocked and look at the TV direction and it felt like a real door opening / closing. But for music, as long as the sound source is good, u wont be disappointed.

3. I did not notice this cuz my stand has not arrived, I just placed the 2 speaker beside the main sound bar now.

4. I leave all the settings to default and turn on the soundstage mode. That is good enough, meanwhile I connect using ARC to TV, therefore I only use TV Remote to control the volume or Spotify apps to control the volume most of the time.

May I know where did you purchase your Q950A soundbar and how much does it cost now?
