This might be the best Speaker system ever !!
Recently i am exploring the world of Soundbar for my living room, my priority was simple look with decent sound quality . After doing some research in various shop and stores , I was stick to either Sonos or Bose system.

However when i went to Sony center at the Curve yesterday, the Salesperson show me this latest Surround system . At first i am rejecting him as i think this is beyond my budgeting, yet he insisted me no harm to try.

And guess what , once i sit in to try , voila ! This system is freaking amazing that let me feels like inside the cinema, the details it presenting are giving me chills ! The quality are simply outstanding and the Bose 700 or Sonos Arc are totally dethroned when competing against this Sony !

When play some Dolby Atmos film, this speakers delivered with superb  3D surround effects . When play some dialogue,  every words are crispy clear even without the center speakers !
Currently its only available at Sony storeThe curve , Im strongly advise everyone to experience it ! Do not deceived by the noob looking appearance.

I am sure it is, with the retail price of RM7,299
Are you audition it with the subwoofer as well?

No subwoofer yet, as even the flagship store is waiting for the sub unit to be deliver. However, even without the sub , i could hear many super low frequency bass in the movies, which i didn’t notice before.
After auditioned with it , I can firmly assured this is the Next revolutionary for home system’ i bet other sounding brand like Bose would develop it soon!

I am using SN8Y predecessor SL8Y with SPK-8 rear speakers, working fine without problem.
Rear speakers are recommended for true surround and more immersive soundstage.
FYI, latest 2021 is SP8Y but sadly is not available in Malaysia (yet?)

Thanks for sharing, i decided to go with Samsung HW-Q700A, tested both soundbar at Harvey Norman, LG SN8Y got high qualify finishing, clarity is good but in high pitch (hurt my ear) and older model 2020 as well, Samsung HW-Q700A bass is more punchy, sound are great and balanced, spacefit feature can calibrate and adapt the sound depends on your room size, latest model 2021, most importantly i got a good deal on 11.11 rclxms.gif

it's modern smart TV agenda where they expect u to run everything from the tv itself and output 1 (via ARC) to the soundbar. tongue.gif
this is why AVR has a market.

Just wondering if there are any half decent Soundbars available nowadays.
I don't expect it to be on the same level as separate components.

Anyone bought or audition Sony HT-ST7. The specs are pretty ok....
*
For decent audio reproduction, price should be rm10k range, not rm1.5k
