Nope. My current TV also using ARC and my Q90 using E-ARC. Even HDMI 2.1 doesn't help because the output end not compatible with the input. I read that just you may not be able to enjoy the promised experience

you will still get DD+ instead of TrueHD if your source is from the TV ARC, but if your source connection are directly to your soundbar instead of TV then it doesn't matter whether it is eARC or ARC.


Hahah just got the Q90R recently only la, and not much differences with the Q950T aside from the Q-Symphony only if you use the latest Samsung TV which I don't.

Wonder this Q-Symphony did better or worst as they use specific Samsung TV speakers and join with the soundbar where TV speakers act as additional surround speaker.

I got it from tan boon Ming. Was offered 4.4k but negotiated to 4k . I guess it's good price considering RRP at 6.4k

Is there a way to convert aux/rca to optical or hdmi?

is your source using aux/rca? some soundbars still have 3.5mm input. u can use 3.5mm-rca cable.

hey all, just a quick question, im already planning to get the TU8500, cause the price im getting is super good and im on a budget. My friend, who is one of the distributor, is selling me the samsung q60r soundbar at RM1460.

TV = 2.7k + soundbar = 1.4k, do u think the q60r is a good buy for this price range?

Q80R was selling for around the same price as the Z9F some months back. If you can still find 1 for that price i'd go for that over the Sony.

Q80R for less than RM3k can get ar... Wah... 🤤🤤🤤
