Come play Molten WoW with me! It's a private server and its free to play! Kinda need some friends to play with so we can conduct raids easier!

And I'm actually playing Rift as well, it's a pretty sweet game. It's like an upgraded version of WoW.

Molten wow is a private server and you sounded like you are recruiting people to play the game. Private servers discussion is not allowed in lowyat.
Plus Molten wow is way outdated than current WOW version , you are playing the obsolete version of the game.

If you really like the game , consider giving the real game a try .

There are quite numerous WOW clones there , each with different themes . Good news is many of them have went F2P .

Swtor is basically a WOW-Clone with Star wars theme and went F2P . Give it a try.

nah WoW the game theme and game is set to a fix, there isnt anymore things to explore actually, just only Tier(s) sets to collects, achievement , and nothing much you can do there anymore. i wanna to explore something which is more like Rift, new theme, new settings new NEW things to explorer thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

but is a great that you saying Rift would be like an upgraded version of WoW
may i have your point of view? wink.gif wink.gif

RAN online is kinda old game, but i agrees that it do make a wonderful memory for us ASIAN, however about 1 year or 1 and a half year ago, when i try to log in from a CC, is so happen that the server is crowded with childish people, they would run around and saying you are KS and F*** off... == or else they will start PK with a way higher character.

but no doubts that RAN do make memory in my life! icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

I just started rift today. I joined Laethys because it is labeled Oceanic but I'm not sure if that means lower latency for asian players. So far I'm liking this game.
I also play guild wars 2 but it got really boring so I just login once per day to complete the daily achievement.

@rawrkun what i found out was, that rift is a clone from WoW which is pretty obvious, but where by the special thing about Rift, is the role that you can play, whereby is totally on you, if you did research about this game, you will found out that the special on this game is you create your own job,

example:-
you can have a Melee rogue where with a pet,
you can have a main tanker where you can do off healer,
you can be range dps where you still can stealth or teleport,
you can have a pyro mage in the same time you can have a skeleton fighting/tanking for you,

too many possibilities on how you build your jobs,

and 1 more thing, special about Rift that WoW cannot offers us, you have a live event, where will happens almost everywhere and anytime.

What do you mean dont pvp if you dont play in rift?
do you mean like if you dont like pvp dont play rift?
but to my understanding rift also got dungeon and raid, and also PVE and PVP server right?

This game actually have associated with AsiaSoft, i believe the ACash would be the currency we are looking at..

I'm actually looking forward on Greybriar
Is a PVE server and the occupancy is high, not sure how about the latency.

http://www.riftstatus.com/

The command that i have for this game is a clone from WoW and it have some other special things which Rift can offers us then WoW.
1. No specific job (Sky is the limit for you to build your character)
2. Theme is better then WoW as for my preference (Not so cartoon, specially orc)
3. End game is great (Item, achievements, difficult instant, and raid is after lvl50 - below 50 you have Dungeon, Rift events, Chronicles, and etc.)
4. They have a live event - Rift Events. (Almost everywhere and anytime.)

I see the pvp video on youtube.. its pay2win if pvp... onry play this game pve if u want enjoy

How exactly do you determine that from watching Youtube videos , have you even played the game ?

RIFT has gone F2P and they definitely need to get income from somewhere. You can indeed buy some pretty decent PVP Sets ( but they are never BiS or Warlords ) last time I checked
As long as you keep playing you will get the BiS sets which can't be bought with money. The set that are sold via the store are to prepare people who don't have much time playing but wanted to have a great start.

This actually happened in a lot of games , no idea why do you think its Pay2win . We are talking about ABSURD advantages gained via paying money dude .

Agree with @Convael, cause this game's item management, is pretty much same like what you get from WoW, where is will be bind once equip, so practically, you can collect the tiers but you cannot sell the tiers.

you using the cash is just to buy outlook, something like maple, just show off you have money, not to win the game.

1 more thing to mention, there is not job specific, is totally depends on your own imagination, so if lets say you have godly item, but if you don't know how to play, you will also lose.

the definition of pay2win is differ from a person to other person.
take for example an exp boost potion that can only be bought in cash shop.
some people will say that this is pay2win but some other people will say it's not since you can also gain more exp by playing more.
so it's not entirely wrong when some people say that Rift is a pay2win game.

Yes i do understand the point of view from you, but to be honest this do not prove that you will win, cause no matter what you still need to have your equipment to be in the count, to be honest the only person which can be excuse saying this would be a pay 2 win game, is a person which didn't know how WoW works.

Nobody said it was wrong , in fact I was saying compare to many other games that have recently gone F2P ( for example SWTOR ), the P2W rating on RIFT isn't high at all .

You are bringing an extremely mundane example to explain the case , which pretty much can be used for every generic statement out there , since every opinion can be subjective .
But if you live in the human world, compare it within the industry standard then you will get a pretty accurate judgement.

QUOTE(purplexcutie @ Nov 12 2013, 08:18 PM)
wrong . what they mean by f2p in rift is basically the trial version of the game... its clearly state at the support and Q&A that you can SUBSCRIBE the game..and something like a founder pack... clearly the new so called "F2P" player is at disadvantages....  I read there is a limit too in f2p gameplay experience but I forgot..go read the official site.....I'm not lieing

so what I'm saying is if you want play competative pvp on rift you got to pay for the subscrition or the founders pack.. so you can upgrade you chracter.. but if you just casual and like pve.. then, there is no problem.. but they is still limit on how much gold you can collect... or whatever the currency is in rift...
*
First of all ,you clearly have not played the game enough , or many Big budget MMO that went F2P for that matters.

When they went F2P , they do require income to sustain the game development . And of course if everything offered by the F2P store is merely trivial, who is going to buy anything ?
How exactly do you expect F2P to stay alive ?

When you pay for the subscription or founder pack obviously you are going to at least gain a little more advantages , such as bank slots, less restriction on chat etc etc.
This had happened in many many games, AION , SWTOR , TERA , TSW . And if you are free , feel free to get to their respective website and check out the restriction , some of them are actually
devastating to the gameplay ,they don't even give you enough skill slots to use your skills if you don't pay at one time. Atleast I have yet to see anything as such in RIFT, yet.

http://www.riftgame.com/en/play-for-free/ , compare this with http://www.swtor.com/free/features

I have read those F.A.Q long enough that I actually bought the game before all of them went F2P , so I can pretty much tell you right here and right now , R.l.F.T isn't much of a PAY2WIN game
( in comparison with others )

yes im being generic there.
im saying that as a normal user point of view and not as an expert or enthusiast of mmo world.
im not saying that my opinion is right or hold true for all people.
it only as an agent for devil advocate.

with that being said, i also still downloading but already started playing Rift.
just got to lv10 but i already loss interest.
now thinking whether to finish my download and continue playing or not.
the class job thing is exciting but somewhat complicated and overwhelm for some new player like me.
in the end i just let the system assign the point automatically.. haha tongue.gif
