AutoCad is an engineering software. if you study in engineering stream like my dad and bro, you will get a chance to use it. specifically for civil engineering. but those who use it for art or design purposes i believe it is also usable.

Glad to know someone is still interested in this dying trade. AutoCAD is a tool but without the knowledge to use it, it remains a tool.
It might be good if you have a background to work it out together, be it ARCH, CIVIL or M&E engineering. Same goes with all the computer software, If you don't used it regularly, the knowledge will rot and forgotten You can go here or here to obtain your cert. Good Luck!
