I am uncertain what happened, either an update or a bad app, but this is the sequence of weird things that started happening:
- first my adaway does not work, every time i go to the app is says adaway is disabled.
- then I started seeing some games apps appearing on my phone
- i tried removed many free games apps
- but now my phone starts to hang, mostly system UI having problem.

I have apex launcher, but after restart I always have to reset defaults, and now I know how to clear defaults already.

I have torchlight toggle but now it takes about 30 seconds to turn it on, previously was instant.

Many other weird things like when a call comes in, I cannot swipe to answer.

SMS comes in, but it gets enlarge and the keyboard is hidden so I cannot type.

I'm using Omega v14.1. Is it the rom or I caught virus or something? I've always had Antivirus Free and Clueful. Everytime there is a new app installation or app update, they would scan it automatically. I have not received any warnings.

What are my options now? Thanks

Better not use antivirus? It is available in the market so I tried it. Every now and then I do often try some free apps: editor picks etc...

I'm trying to install KingCobra rom, but it seems very complicated trying to install the rom from Omega 4.2.2

Is it much easier to go back to stock rom from Omega, then update to 4.3, and then install KingCobra?

This is the installation instruction, and I'm stuck at step 4:

Scenario 3: You are rooted and are on custom roms or a custom pit (adonis_c.pit comes with 11.82 gb storage which is incompatible with 4.3 firmwares.

1. Flash pit seperately without the firmware package in odin v3.09
2. Perform a battery pull then put the battery back
3. Go into download mode (when phone is switched off press and hold power button+volume down+home button).
4. Flash the 4 package file
AP=previously PDA
BL=bootloader
CP=Modem
CSC=file starting with CSC
5. Flash cf autoroot by chainfire by putting it in AP

I saw on CCTV news that in China, samseng cs acts differently in China. If you bring in your phone, the service is very poor. One case on tv was the mobo spoilt, and samseng wants to charhe RMB700, but after some negotiation, it can go down to just RM550... blah x3 some more, it goes down to RMB500. They went online to search, many countries repaired the mobo without cost, especially in Europe, for the same problem.

Have not heard or experienced any price negotiations with samseng cs in malaysia. Most of the time, either they charge a fix price or they replace without much questions (for phones)... but while waiting at the cs center, I have seen customers arguing with samseng on other products, either tv or camera.... that was more than one year ago.

How do I delete the "android" folder in phone device storage?
Using wipe or factory reset does not delete all the folders in phone.

I want to delete all to start new... including android folder.

I did do reset but all the stuff are still there. Nothing was deleted.

With Omega rom, I was using 3minit. NOw I switch to wanam lite but the 3 minit folder is still there. I can delete 3minit folder and others via pc with usb connection, but android folder can't delete.

Then I tried CrashRom, also did a full wipe, the folder is still there. Factory reset, still there. Crash rom also uses wanam xposed, my problem is I cannot get the battery icon to appear. Both stock or circle... I had it once on Wanam Lite, but that's it... I prefer Crash rom cos it comes with a bit more function that Wanam. Wanam lite is very very lite... nothing much inside.

Can't get the result I need, maybe try KingCobra tonight. Back to square one.

I can centralize the clock, move it to left or right. Hide AM/PM, change color, etc... all except Battery icon... neither stock icon or circle, both just don't show.

Finally, managed to wipe everything... by doing triple wipe. I wipe, and wipe for the second time, then a third time... then I install and check, no more previous apps data. Now to try this new rom first.

me too... was very frustrated so like want to kill it balas dendam.. so wipe many times. Something wrong with my phone...

such a simple thing but took whole day... some days are just good for sleeping

one easy question.... if from crash rom v10, wants to upgrade to v11... do i need to do full wipe or just flash?

OTA is only for small updates, less than 100mb... according to the first post on xda.

The triangle away app is compatible with i9505 only, which means i9500 stay away, right? Or can I use it too?

The fast burst camera app storage location can change, but in order to change to sd card i have to manually type the location. How do I find out what to type, what is my ext sd card location.

Oh... Knox is it... I had that problem while on Crash Rom v10 but once upgraded to v11, then no more.
