That's because you factory resetted your phone after updating. Some people (like me) just don't have the time to backup everything using helium or root and do titanium backup, so factory resetting my phone isn't a viable option for me.
I know to you, flashing and backup/restore is very convenient (judging from your previous posts

). But not everyone has the luxury to do those. I hope you understand lol I know factory resetting will make hardware acceleration work again. I'll do helium once my exams are over.
Then again if from an average Joe's point of view, almost every android newbuyer will expect zero problems updating from 4.2.2 to 4.3, and I think we can agree that 80-90% of i9500 owners are not into rooting or factory resetting, right? They expect the phone to 'just work', something the flagship Galaxy S Generation has achieved next to the iPhone.
Just want to clarify that yes I know it can be solved
