My friend need to change tyres on her Preve, she does a lot of travel to Singapore. Ride is bumpy and getting bald now. Which tyres to consider? Price is not a factor. Grip on wet road and comfort are important.

F1Asy2 don't have for 16" IINM. Preve is 205/55R16. Many are changing to Goodyear F1 Directional 5. Just slightly below F1Asy2.

i wouldn't go D5 cuz of directional and that sucks for NVH.

PS3 it is then.
can't vouch for Yokohama advan db in the wet, however it's good for comfort and it's available even for 15"

Since price is not a factor then can consider Michelin Pilot Sport 3. Great all-rounder tires without sacrificing too much of comfort. smile.gif

Get f1d5 or ps3. Or even the Goodyear TripleMax

Even though f1d5 is semi-directional tyre, it isn't noisy at all.
Much better than the stock GT Radial Champiro Bax2

Yokohama's are generally noisier than, say, Goodyears. But they last quite a bit.
If you're looking for comfort at a price, then Conti's are a good deal. They wear pretty fast though, so better be careful.
I heard a lot of good reviews for the TripleMax but not used it personally.

If you're willing to shell RM5XX per type, Michelin's are a good bet. PS3 is a noisier option to the Primacy line but that's the trade-off for performance smile.gif

Bax2's are like ear-drum testers for fighter pilots... and I don't think fighter-pilots have such tests sad.gif

Drive with the BAX2 for 1 year. You change any other brand also is quieter.

I'm generalizing here, but if you want to go to specifics, try taking 2 tyres of the same class (sport vs. sport, comfort vs. comfort, etc.) and you'll see the difference. I personally had experiences between A-Drive and NCT-5.

so far my experience is that yokohama can trump goodyear in NVH any time with their CD2/Advan DB.

wet grip not so much though especially compared with the Eagle F1 AS2 - which has pretty good NVH too, although if you want to compare GY flagship, it'll be against the Advan sport, and then people would start to b**** about pricing.
