why do you use to design logo or make word style?, what kind of soft ware...

just asking....besides microsoft word...what others that i can use to make logo,signature or word style?
adobe photoshop... illustrator... macromedia free hand... is there any others? |

illustractor is hard and i haven't master the pen tool...so i try macromedia freehand
