Sorry if I place this in the wrong section. I only overclocked my CPU about 100mhz as a test, but according to my temperature monitors at the moment, my CPU is 52 degrees Celcius and my motherboard is 51 degrees Celcius. Is that a safe/average temperature for them, and if not what is, and what can I do to fix that? My case is closed and there's a fan intake drawing in air, and there's fans drawing air out at the end, its an iCute casing.

CPU is a Pentium 4 2.41 Ghz chip, and my Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8ST800 Revision 1.1.

is your room with ac or not? if without ac then its a good temp. I did an overclock on 300mhz and my temp is somewhere there as well during idle and my room is without ac

hey mine wan oso encounter this kind of prob for the cpu temp. it reads my temp as more than 100celcius...lol and the freaking alarm keep beeping. so i din use this tool to monitor my temp and voltage, perhaps i now using Winbond Hardware Doctor. very good and nice.
