Very informative.

I am looking for a Cheap/Used OpenWRT-able Router, with VLAN ability.
Would you mind recommend a model? I am looking for below RM100 for USED, and not more than RM150 for NEW.

I do not need WLAN/Wifi, either a Gigabit Port. I just wish to trial a solution of creating a seperate Network (VLAN) in an exisiting Home Network, with limited internet speed (QOS).

I had personally try DD-WRT and managed to trial it with a TM-Dlink DIR615 G2 (which I bought USED from Lowyat Forumer). However, DD-WRT does not have the VLAN Capability of DIR 615 G2. And, I couldn't manage to successfully flash the DIR 615 G2 to OpenWRT.

I had tried from your suggested Link, as what KLSeet's Guide.
Still, no luck though. Nevertheless, I will try again.

I had checked your recommended MR3420. Indeed, good price.
However, I need VLAN Ready, at least Port-based. And according to OpenWRT Official Compatibility Table (http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/start#tp-link), MR3420 does not have that feature.

Do you think it is worth to spend RM150 to buy Asus WL-520GU.
The Router is OpenWRT/DD-WRT Ready.

I had googled and found that the Router has good rating though a bit dated, with only G-Wireless and no Gigabit LAN-Port.

Any comments?
