I have been wondering, where do you all usually back up/store your photos? On virtual drives or external HDD? (must be damn a lot..)
I have been thinking how I want to keep all my photos. External HDD could spoil very suddenly also!

I am using the very economical method. Kept 2 copies, 1 in my PC HD and 1 in external HD.
You can use microsoft synctoy to snyc the folders. And it is free. If you have more budget, do consider using NAS with Raid 1 configuration for redundancy purposes. Good lucks. This post has been edited by cvshi515: Oct 31 2013, 11:46 PM |

External HDD would be the cheapest option for me. Important pics will be saved on cloud storage.

Flickr gives you 1 TB of space for each yahoo email you owned.
Create 20 fake yahoo emails you'll have 20TB of space and that is RM10,000 worth of Synology / Drobo 5 bay HDD NAS with carry 4TB each bay. Cheapskate-wise speaking though. |

I accumulated the space by flashing custom ROM on my android phone and signing up to dropbox from there. (Samsung and HTC rom)

Another way (you can call it old-fashioned also) burn them into DVD's.
Or otherwise once your SD card full don't format it, keep it the original copies there and upload everything on flickr |
