Hello to all the sifu's here at lowyat forum.
I would like to learn how to build a rig on my own from scratch.
I hope all of you will share your experience on building your first rig and what you had to go through.

First, I will go for what I want and how many budget that i got.

Secondly, be sure to read all the reviews/ suggestion on ur budget. brows.gif

Third, Don't always go for a rush when you buy pc parts. Sometimes u buy some budget thingy and then u end up spending more $$ smile.gif

Purpose of building the rig and how much budget you got. Very important factors of building a rig.

1. Budget - Max min

2. GPU VS CPU. Which is the preference.

3. Good quality components vs higher spec/performance component

4. Schedule Maintenance based on 3rd. Higher quality less time.

5. GPU if on Gaming. Whats the reso i want to game at and is my budget sufficient as its a mix between the right cpu and gpu combi.

Outline this on ure thought process.

1. Budget
2. Purpose of rig.
3. Preferences - AMD or Intel, AMD or NVIDIA.

I think most importantly is not to let reviews and benchmark fool you. Yes, some brands will have better performance to price ratio or better benchmark scores altogether, but building a rig is about preferences.

Mostly importantly, have fun while you're at it and be proud of what you made.
