+1, and u can guess which is the most troublesome or $$ to fix ? battery or gearbox ? 
jk...u may test out both first, which give u the best feel since i assume u use it for daily. Then only think about the issue whether u wanna take the risk or not.
battery and gearbox may I say is a common problem? cuz not everyone having this issue, maybe 50 - 60% ?
Battery - I think it depends on luck..got customer using it since the day launch, no problem.
Gearbox - depends how u drive, also some customer dont have such issue either
