From what i read from XDA forum, out of 10 unit of SH batch - defect 7 unit and out of 10 unit HT batch - defect 2 unit..

No wonder they say HT has better Quality Control..

yea lo.. but some say cuz SH produce a lot of HTC One so QC will be lesser..
WTF lol.. If im the boss i sure fired up the QC staff

must be that certain batch only. I dig into this a lot 2 months before and eventually came up with a conclusion that both are same. Taiwan is a part of China anyway.

In term of Country YES. But factory are located different location.

SH mean Shanghai Fcatory
HT mean Haishu ,Taiwan
FA mean New Factory located in Taiwan itself.

So there are different Environment / Management controlled in each factory side.

What i mean here is the QC are really letdown in SH factory from what i can see / read from these forums (XDA / Androidforums)

dear bro, since ur set is from Taiwan, can provide this details HTXXX first 5 letters. Want to check the Manufacture date, if u dont mind..

Great ya.. As one of my office staff also has HTC One which comes from HT factory. The set has zero defect. No purple tint even when the phone is hot.

my SH set has zero problems too
I've heard equal amount of complains for Purple tint. But yeah I'd say the GAP issue for SH sets i've read and heard more.

Anyway it's just a phone camera. NOT the best ones around I'd agree. I prefer LG G2 camera. But with its other awesome features i'd still want HTC one. I know how we all need the perfect htc one. I think I do sometimess get the pink spot issue but in general it doesn't spoil my normal pictures compared to how bad purple tint does. So I can live with it (y)

Even after Nexus 5, you just cant complain how htc one phone looks physically. (sexy)
plus how awesome and simple+elegant sense UI is. I'd love to see how the M7 turns out to be

for me if I would want to replace my HTC one, i'd get LG G2. I just love the batt life, screen + camera on it.

P.S. Htc one still is the best droid phone of 2013 voted by various people.

HTC One still the best droid phone around currently in terms of built / the looks and is really shows a simple elegant look. (Premium Look I would say)

yep.. Premium and Stylish look. And aluminium case.. Just the QC problem

If their QC would be great i think this phone can beat S4 easily

carrier guy just came to pick up me htc one for service..so sad to let it go T.T..hope will get repaired by next week..

I think not QC problem. Its simply that they do not have enough good ultrapixel camera. So they change their standard. To allow for more camera to be able to make it into phones and do warranty later when user discover the problem. Its the CEO and management that is making this decision.
There is not much QC that you can do. All using computers . The computers would have detected the fault (purple tint or pink tint) automaticly & ask you to discard the camera. Wheather to discard or not is upto human decision. Its impossible that so many faulty camera can be missed and let into production .
