I bought it from Satugadget, but now just not sure whether they willing to replace another set for me, since that time when I first exchange, they say every units also like that.

I think I will go for replacement then, since it is still within 14 days time frame. But just want to ask for you guys opinion, when I get the 2nd unit, they said that every unit also like that, just no matter open how many box will also be like that, is it true?

I guess I have to trade in for another model. Maybe One Max. Another few hundred gone if so.

But I bought it from Satu Gadget. Is a phone shop like that also can refund to me? I just worry cause never met a case like that.

Man this is sucks! I contacted HTC and they ask me to go back to Satu Gadget for replace a new unit since it is still in 14 days time frame, but I contacted Satu Gadget, they say they can't replace me anymore and say the responsibility should be held by HTC, damn it, they kick the ball to here and there, WTF???!!

I don't want to send it for repair since there is so much people facing bad experience with HTC SC!!

I think not only One got problem, below is my friend's device which is Sony Z. It also having pink hue, which seems like more serious than my One.

Hey guys, does this device can adjust the sensitivity of the soft key (Home & Back button)'s light? Not sure why sometimes, the keys doesn't light up even in low light condition. It seems like very sensitive to the light, when just a little light in the environment the device will turn off the light for the keys.

Anyone didn't update the device to 4.3? Is 4.3 flawless now?

What I concerned is not the friendly service but must be a very good after sales service.

I checked some Sony Experia Z1 devices (from friends as well as from Sony Center, AEON), I could said that every single device that I tested before also facing the same issue, which camera shows a lot of pink noise when I put the Z1 on table, the pink noise is serious than HTC One.

But then I never really tried to capture a pic in low light condition using Z1, but from some photos that friend sent to me, it really can see the pink noise on some outdoor shot during night time even with road lamp.

But heard that other countries quite a number of users facing some downside for Kitkat. Wish that it will be flawless when it launched for One users.

Hey guys is it sure that the camera issue is not due to software? I got no problem with mine all the while since the day I bought until 20min ago which I ist updated to android 4.3. Now even in enough light condition the picture quality also very worse! I'm dam regret how come I updated mine. Just now 1 of my relatives came to my house and show me his One with 4.3, so I just updated as well but the camera suddenly become very worse!

I'm itchy enough to upgrade the phone to 4.3 after I saw my relative's One. The camera become worse and the battery draining darn fast.

100% confirmed that even One Max & Butterfly S also having the purple haze issue. I do have friends using Max & S, facing the same issue.

I tried in the shop, no problem, after back home, purple come & say "hi" to you. Go for a replacement unit which is red, got no problem, I scared already since the first silver unit brought me the purple tint issue, so I tested the red One for almost 1 hour+ just for the camera, place it on the table & yet it still showing full black. So the camera is perfect until a few weeks later, pink hue started to come out in dark condition. & after my hands itchy go for the 4.3 update since it keep on pop out the notification, the pink hue become more serious in low-light condition & at 1 of the side of the picture still present light purple color when I take photos in some low light area.

So you better don't buy this phone until it is 100% confirmed that this device already free from purple tint issue. It is a very great phone, I like it very much in term of the outlook design, Sense 5, sound, battery performance (before the update), & even the features & quality of the camera (before the stupid pink/purple hue come out). But now, what I can do just prevent take picture in low light/dark condition. Haha. Wish that it will having a trade in scheme during the release of One+/One2.

I think the issue may due to both of the hardware & software. Because when the phone is cold the camera will be better than the phone in heat condition. Now what I can't stand for is 4.3 really consume battery much faster than 4.2. Now I have to charge twice a day. I see some users comment in youtube/gsmarena, their 4.4 update also quite buggy. Wish that when it reach our side it will be flawless. This is my first RM2k phone, & it is really disappointed me. The phone that I most satisfied is HTC Evo 3D which I owned before HTC One. I can't complaint anything beside the battery life of Evo 3D. Dropped a few times but yet the phone without any scratches although I didnt use any phone cover on it, very solid phone.

How to check?

Maybe HTC careline will ask back you? "What? HTC One got 4.4 update already??" Just kidding.

Well after upgraded to 4.4, it is really seems like no different with 4.3. Now observing the battery. Really wish to back to 4.2 with Sense5 which is really perfect for me, no purple tint issue, no battery issue.

Battery I think still more or less the same, after full charge of 100% it will dropped to 98% in a moment for no reason, just like 4.3. Last time when it was 4.2 after I use quite a while the battery will only drop from 100% to 99% and 98%. I've been quite sometime didn't see the phone stays in 99% of battery level. Not sure it is bug or what.

Even people say gold One is without purple tint issue doesn't mean that the tint won't come out in future. I think quite number of person tried their camera during purchase & they only pay for the phone when they see that the camera is free from the tint issue. But after sometimes or updates, the camera become got problem pulak. So since M8 is coming out soon, you better go for M8. But if the design from previous page is real, it really look ugly on the 2nd camera they place on. If they place in the middle just like Evo3D then it will be much better looking. LOL. So far HTC One is still owning the best design.
