It is quite OK if you eat canned food once in a while. Damaged protein is toxin to our body. Our body can tolerate a little bit of toxin.
If it take on regular basis, I think you will know what will happen.

You can get fresh milk from Indian guy who comes in a bike going round in the neighbourhood.

That's right but there are many grades.

Lol Oblivion me too... I lost 13-14kgs in total after the NS program...

By the way I have a question about egg yolk here, even I do Cardio and workout, how many egg yolks am I limited to ? They're so high cholesterol that made me kinda afraid of it .. Although I do eat lotsa oats ... I do eat 4 eggs a day in the morning and not more than that because my mum don't let me to ..

Egg yolks are good for you. Eat them.
2 to 3 yolks a day is fine.

I did saw someone post from the web that says that 3 full eggs each day can boost the growth of muscle .. but nobody knows the truth ...

Btw heres another question .. How many tablespoons of oats you guys take each day ? I took 10 tablespoons at once in the morning everyday .. will the carbo be too high for me as I'm a big fan of rice also ..

i take 4 whole eggs at once sometimes for meals. put soy sauce pepper, scramble in a bowl and microwave. about cholesterol, no need to worry. here's an article abt cholesterol :

http://www.chelationtherapyonline.com/articles/p125.htm

in the morning i take about 5-7 tbs of oats. sometimes i'm just too lazy to cook them i just blend and drink together with protein shake. haha. i think as long as u dont consume too much complex carbs after dinner should be okay. for dinner should start cutting on carbs and go more on fruits veges and protein. IMO

why u wanna lose weight? i'm abt your height and i wanna reach 75kg! i'm abt 70 plus now. just lift weights, build muscle and eat healthily. convert your belly to abs and fat to muscle. don't worry too much abt the numbers on the scale honestly.

Any form of grain or wheat if taken in access (more than what your body needs) will definitely makes you fat.
You can still continue eating rice while losing body fats. Just reduce the amount. How much you need to eat?
You have to experiment with it. If you can't lose body fat, reduce the amount until you see significant fat loss.
How to determine you are losing fats? Check your belly. Your belly should be reducing in size.
That will be the right amount, period.

I've been body building for the past 1 and a half years, and only now i realized this section was available all along. Sorry...

After reading the posts here, i must say I am very intimidated by how you guys eat, but at the same time managed to get into excellent form. I figured since i was an ectomorph before, it will be hard for me to gain weight and lean mass.

From really scrawny to medium size, i'm looking to get into large. But i'm not really confident on whatever that i eat and consume would be enough for that.

So, may i post mine (and not be laughed at) so that i may get suggestion from all of you guys and gurls? blush.gif

just make sure u eat healthy foods. carbs=rice, wholemeal bread, oatmeal, noodles; protein=eggs, chicken, beef, other meats, tuna, fish, whey; fats=peanut butter, healthy oils (which are usually in cod fish and salmon), egg yolk (dont worry abt taking too many, its healthy fats and cholesterol).

something like that. make sure every meal u get plenty of protein (maybe 20-30g if ure starting out) and carbs (if you're bulking). if u need to bump your calories even more, whack peanut butter with every meal. just make sure its not those high in saturated fats.

i follow your plan too. meals usually rice/noodles with meat/eggs. for snack usually i microwave eggs and eat bread, eat canned tuna with cheese... etc. up to u. make up your own recipe and be creative. just make sure ure eating enough protein (1g per lb of your bodyweight) and eat a big meal after your workout. that should ensure that u grow. but IMHO quite hard to eat 6 meals a day.. i did it on thursday but it was quite troublesome for me. haha. maybe u can prepare your own protein shakes to carry around so u can drink as snacks.

and up to u if u wanna get a mass gainer. i only have a whey supplement. for mass drinks i usually blend something like milk eggs whey peanut butter together. quite alot of everything and tastes quite good. good luck

Add a few more eggs to your breakfast.
You don't drink your protein during workout. You need carbs to fuel for muscles during workout not protein. Take your protein after workout for recovery.

Nobody will laugh at you. The aim of this section is to help people learn. Post it. This is an example of my diet which was posted in my training journal:-

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/663550

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Apr 2 2008, 01:02 AM)
Rough diet on a training day

7.30 am : 1 cup oats, 1 scoop whey, 400ml milk, fish oil
1.00 pm : 2 chicken breasts (or equivalent of that, 1 cup rice) + other shit i can't resist
5.00 pm : PREWORKOUT --> 8 egg whites, 2-3 yolks, 2 bananas OR same as morning shake
7.00 pm : POSTWORKOUT --> Cytosport Cytogainer or 2 scoops whey and 1 tablespoon dex
8.30 pm : Arab food (shish tawouk (chicken kebab + briyani rice OR Lebanese bread)
Prebedtime : 10 egg whites, 2-3 yolks OR 400ml milk + 1 scoop whey, fish oil

On non workout days i cut the calories a bit. On a note, i need those calories because of my workout volume. This is what i eat, it may or may not be applicable to you guys but it's a rough idea of what i eat.

What I eat in workout days.

Breakfast (8 am or 9am) (Depends on class) - Instant Oats mixed with Milo

Lunch (12 PM, or worst at 2.15pm)- Rice (half cup), chicken (Half cup), meat (half cup), veges (Either cabbage, beans) (Half cup)

Tea Time (4pm or 5 pm)- 2 Gardenia Cream Rolls

Preworkout (7pm)- None

During Workout (8pm)- Water 500 ML

Post Workout (9pm)- 2 half boiled eggs

Dinner - (Immediately after post workout) Same as lunch

Supper (11pm) - Koko Krunch and Cornflakes with 200 ML milk.
taken from my journal, this is what i eat. After some advices, I am going to change the preworkout one soon to maybe oats somemore.

is it better to take my dinner before the workout or after?
