They dump the garbage stock today but who knows 1 or 2 months later a garbage stock turn into gold? smile.gif... Was market reaction make u lose focus of ur earlier planning when buying this fund? its all about emotional mgmt n not lose ur earlier plan in a herd of human erratic behavior...

try not to be too heavy on any side. just diversify according to own preference.
if possible increase yr portfolio % to other than Asia X Jpn until achieve a balanced portfolio.

Hwang can buy thru Hwang Investment Mgmt office if you want, cannot buy thru FSM cos the 0%SC thing
Amdynamic cannot buy anymore? just saw the trolley button in the fund selector.

how old are you? you have 3 bonds + 1 balanced......
what is the % of holdings of each of the funds (all the funds) in relation to the portfolio?
what is the expected ROI in a year you are looking at for yr portfolio?

you can try asking the CIS of FSM....they can reply you with the analyzed charts showing funds allocations, % etc and also is in a much better position to advise
*
Ya just e mailed them.no reply yet probably CNY
Im only 28...just force saving for the future for now...Im waiting 3-5 years..ROI 5-10 per cent annually Im happy..of coz higher is even better
AmAsia Pacific Equity Income 10.85%
AmBond 4.97%
AmDynamic Bond 12.68%
Hwang Select Asia (Ex Japan) Quantum Fund 8.98%
Hwang Select Bond Fund 5.6%

RHB-OSK Asia Pacific Fund 9.31%
RHB-OSK Cash Management Fund 2 21.63%

Asia Pac underperform benchmark
Global Multi Manager is a waste of time, with your capital, better u buy global equity fund(s) and bond fund(s) and u do the "balancing" yourself.
*
honestly Asia Pac I initially bought to increase exposure to Japan to ride on olympic good news. However, it underperformed and now I am waiting for it to be in the green to sell off

My style:

1. Buy the edge.back of it got Lipper fund unit trust rating.. Go n analyze which fund mgmt have the leader rating on any specialization...

2. You are the Bos of ur own fund..ur adviser are all just. An instrument to assist u only...learn about world economy basic 1st....read n understand concept. Browse Armstrongeconomics.com to strengthen ur knowledge.

3. Now u have basic knowledge of world economy...catalyzer of world stock n currency goes up n down depends on us n fed news... Download investing.com android app to ur phone to know what's going on. Download Bloomberg mobile apps as an additional read... I think by this time u will have a good indicator WHR economy will b headed...by DAT time prolly u even more better than FSM recommendation...
*
unfortunately I do not have so much time lo...haha..somtimes few days before coming back..thats y chose UT hopefully more pro ppl manage for me haha

hmm.gif I think you should stop topping on Asia x Jpn funds. ( I maybe wrong...I had been wronged many-many times before, lately and quite commonly and frequently)  sad.gif
I think you are too heavy on Asia X Jpn because I think you are now about 78% of your Eq part of yr portfolio are in that regions.
I made a rough estimates of the 6 Eq funds (exclude the multi mgr, CMF, + 3 bonds)
yr EQ is about 53% (6 funds) + 46% ( 5 others ) = ( I think it is a balanced portfolio of 50/50)
with yr 53% of yr EQ portfolio...see the attached chart for breakdown....
you only have about 3.4% in Developed Countries.....where do you think the finance, medical, technologies, branding and global players and etc come from?

just be caution...I may be wrong again....just best that you do yr own analysis.... icon_rolleyes.gif
*
haha ya..I was thinking also, but I have like around 10 funds now, I do not know what to buy anymore for developed countries. I was wondering wether I should buy Global Titans, then I will think what about emerging, that also I need.
Thanks for your detailed analysis.
End up if I RSP all every month that is a lot of money d
