Is it recommended to buy funds that won the award?

Newbie here.

Interested in the Kenanga Growth Fund but price is kind of high now.

Awards are good as a guide but it does not guarantee that the fund will 100% make money.
I hold some KGF. Personally the price doesn't matter for me. IRR, ROI and consistency is more important. Of course, the timing u enter do play a very small role.

1 Noob question: wats the diff between MY funds and MY focus funds? rclxub.gif

EASTSPRING INVESTMENTS ASIA SELECT INCOME FUND
Geographical allocation: MY Focus

Exposure to GEM fund too heavy jor...its volatility weighed down my portfolio returns doh.gif

Dulu 20%+, now reducing to <20%, not gonna top up for a while

OT a bit - No regret shifting Hwang Select Asia ex Japan Opp to Hwang Select Opp, it's keeping up with Hwang Quantum quite nicely thumbup.gif

This is very true. Maybe that's the reason I sold all my UTs and shifted all my investments to US stocks. Know it's a bit silly coz it contradicts the theory that don't put all eggs in one basket and diversification etc. But if US sneezes, the whole world catches a cold, so if US gains, whole world gains, if US loses, whole world loses as hard, if not harder.

It is true laugh.gif Despite the amount of debts US has.
