Wonder should I top up today??

I thought of increasing my exposure on Asia Ex Japan Region, but after calculating I found out I already have over 75% of on it (Mainly from Malaysia 30%)

And my exposure for Greater China is around 20%, Europe and USA 6%

Should I increase more on developed market instead??

Fundsupermart also provide suggestion on buying fund on financial sector (RHB-OSK Asia Financial Fund and Global Capital Fund) which I thinking should I buy those instead? Anyone brought those??

Expert here need ur advise ^^

Ya.... looks like I always fail to time my fund purchase time, last week buy this week more red lol, but then no one can really time market and no point thinking about cheap NAV price right ^^

But then is investing in financial sector fund like RHB-OSK Asia Financial Fund and Global Capital Fund a good choice this year? Any comment on this?

hmm.gif RHB-OSK Asia Financial Fund and Global Capital Fund ...these 2 are sector focused funds...focused on financial business related stocks....
if you had already had other global and Asia X japan funds that are invested in a more diversified sectors....I think you may go for them but in a smaller %..just treat them as a portion supplementary funds just like other focused funds like materials, minerals, gold, commodities & etc (which when combined is about 10~15% +/- of the portfolio)..

from yr post #1362,...yes, I think you are too heavy in asia x jpn (at 75%)...but..
how many % are in North Asia? China, HK, Japan, Korea, Taiwan combined?

I think you should increase yr Europe & US exposure from now 6%

just my 2 cents.....just want to act pandai-pandai only lar.

Icic~ Thx for the advice ^^

Ya i think my Asia X Jpn over heavy too mainly coz my heavy on Msia (30%) and SG (11%)

Last time already bought GEYF and AGEF to increase my global exposure... Mayb will top up GEYF more after CNY~
Lately also caught my eyes on Global Titan.... still comparing between GEYF and Global Titan fund

Hey guys,

Today I just started to use IRR method to evaluated my fund portfolio. Hope some of you may explain a bit to me ^^

1) Is IRR/XIRR only effective in calculating fund performance at least over one year period or longer? What's exactly the criteria to use IRR/XIRR?

2) What exactly the result of calculating IRR/XIRR will tell me? I just know number higher mean better? Lol

BTW Thx to @Pink Spider for the useful speadsheet provided ^^

To put it in layman terms, IRR tells u how hard your money is working for u, and it assists comparison because it takes into account different timings.
