QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Dec 10 2013, 10:37 AM) My local stock portfolio same size as my FSM portfolio now. pink, how is their performance in the past 3 months? All are dividend-yielding stocks, average yield of my portfolio is now 4.7% IRR...27% i don't really understand point # 7 7. Dividend Stocks Remains Vulnerable Amid Rising Yield Dividend paying stocks are losing their lustre in recent months as the yield income theme is less appealing amid a rising bond yield environment. implication: .....We advise investors to underweight Malaysia dividend stocks as the prevailing tight yield spread (83 bps in Nov 2013 versus 3-year average of 186 bps) provides little protection to cushion any potential selloff triggered by rising bond yields. http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/resea...?articleNo=4148 (Only applicable to stock or UT?) |

My stock portfolio 3-months performance +3%, so annualised would be like 12%+ lor. I'm buying and holding for dividends, temporary blip in price won't concern me, it's just paper gains/(losses). AmAsia REIT fund holders,
Do you receive via email on "[Fundsupermart.com] AmAsia Pacific REITs – Cessation of sales w.e.f. 16 Dec 2013 for Unit Holders Meeting"? A vote on "The purpose of the meeting is to seek the unit holders’ approval to create multi share classes for the Fund differentiated by currency of denomination, fee structure and investment amount." |

I don't know where to put this and I do not wish to create a new thread so here goes:
I received something interesting from my CFP alumni newsletter. It seems that Sec-Com will allow M'sians to buy SG and Thailand unit trust directly as early as Qtr-1/Y-2014. I forsee they may expand this to other ASEAN countries, such as Indonesia and Phillipines. But forget all those, having access to SG alone will open up our choice to almost 2,000 new off-shore funds without going through middlemen. It is existing times indeed. Xuzen |
