Is there any changes in their strategy where we can see from the fund share holdings? Or is it due to bad performing on current share holdings?

The China Debate
Eastspring Investments:
We believe current valuations have already priced in much of the uncertainty of slower growth and future earnings sustainability
Nikko Asset Management:
Favour China market in anticipation of a few events, such as new round of reform initiatives to boost domestic demand, tax reform, one-child policy, capital market liberalisation etc
LionGlobal Investors:
Reforms will put China on slower economic growth trajectory and dampen corporate profitability, as China still suffers from overcapacity in numerous industries
Schroder Investment Management:
Generally neutral on emerging market equities, where valuations are more attractive but the prospect of Fed tapering
is likely to hit those countries with the weakest fundamentals

above are from ....Consensus of our WISE Partners for 2014 Outlook
https://secure.fundsupermart.com/main/artic...14-Outlook-9111

hmm.gif guess it has to be decided by you....does your risk profile and or portfolio built up requires it?

I think china... which is one of the emerging economy need more years still to swing for high growth in investment. So if we have more time to invest (2-3 years) and it is chances now as based on current value is cheaper already. Myself also in 50/50 to topup... still look if markets offer more cheaper value. Perhaps within April-May this year... Now sit back and watch the volatility... cheers.

Bear this in mind...

US/Europe/Japan may be "expensive" relative to Asia and EMs, BUT when US/Europe/Japan falls, chances are Asia and EMs will fall just as hard, if not harder. wink.gif

30% fall-off looming for S&P 500: Economist
The S&P 500 is just 9 points off a trigger point that will see it tumble 30 percent, veteran trader and economist Steen Jakobsen told CNBC on Thursday.

He said that typically equity markets corrected 10 percent once a year, and corrected 25-30 percent every five years.
"So statistically we are overdue (for a fall-off)," he said.

A pullback is almost definitely coming this week.
A pullback in the stock market is almost assuredly coming and my sense is it will begin this week — after the end of the first quarter.
A re-pricing of risk is overdue. While expectations of 8 percent to 12 percent gains are not unreasonable for 2014

Can Your Portfolio Survive The Coming Bust?
In the USA since 1928, the S&P 500 Index has, on average, dropped from a recent high by 15% every two years, 20% every four years, and 30% every decade. That’s painful.

only Nestle and Dutch Lady is "pricey"

Nestle RM60++ so 1 lot is RM6K++ sweat.gif
DLADY RM40++ so 1 lot is RM4K++ sweat.gif

The rest...even Maybank, 1 share is only RM9++ so u can invest in Maybank for as little as RM900++.

But u have to bear in mind the transaction costs (brokerage fee, stamp duty, clearing fee). The broker I use charge RM10 min. per transaction. E.g. I buy 2 lots of Maybank (assume at RM9.50), I'd incur RM10 + 57 sen + RM2 = RM12.57

So, transaction costs as % of value transacted:
RM12.57 / RM1900 = 0.66%

Now, who said shares are "expensive"? wink.gif

Pink... Where to get broker with such low charges...? Interesting to make a return to.... Hihihi
