I look at HSAQ and HSAO and Hwang select Opp... their holdings are similar actually  sweat.gif  Most probably I'll go for eastspring.

Off topic... www.eunittrust.com.my got 0% service charge, but oni if you have enough ammos....

Similar...but in different %...

For Asia ex Japan large cap exposure, look at CIMB Dynamic Income or AmAsia Pac Equity Income instead

PGSF is worth considering.

But supplement it with RHB-OSK Global Equity Yield, Aberdeen Islamic World Equity or CIMB Global Titans to boost your US+Europe+Japan exposure.

Bear this in mind...

US/Europe/Japan may be "expensive" relative to Asia and EMs, BUT when US/Europe/Japan falls, chances are Asia and EMs will fall just as hard, if not harder. wink.gif

Thanks for the sharing. Currently holding few country focus unit trust. For dollar cost averaging, the higher the volatility the better?
*
See the previous trend/behaviour of the fund...

If relatively stable (long term straight line go up) fund like Kenanga Growth Fund, RHB-OSK KidSave, Eastspring Investments Equity Income, better to lump sum go in.

For volatile sectors/funds, like Emerging Markets funds, u see huge drop, u sailang/show hand! biggrin.gif

Want to ask something...FYI, I never buy UT before.

Under Kenanga Growth Fund, it says the trustee fee is 0.08% of NAV, subject to a minimum of RM18,000 per annum. So, can I know how much is the minimum purchase when the fund still charge me at least RM18k for the trustee fee.

http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/fundi...lnumber=MYKNGGF
*
Trustee fee is already reflected in the pricing of the units.

Go read Post #1 thoroughly, I did a simple illustration on how fund expenses work.

I have just read it and somewhat understand how it works.

But why some funds put (subject to a minimum of RM18,000 per annum)?
*
I'm answering this based on logic:

Let's say Trustee fee at 0.08% or min RM18K per annum
Fund NAV RM30M, Trustee fee would be RM30M x 0.08% = RM24K
Fund NAV RM3M, Trustee fee based on formula would be RM2.4K, where got enough...Trustee kena cari makan mar tongue.gif

Hence they fix a minimum amount.

Don't worry about those expenses, it's already factored into the fund NAV pricing. Just see the annual expense ratio.

Do you guys use the cash management fund to purchase your funds, or just go through the FXP method? I am not too sure on the advantages of cash management fund, other that it gives a steady 3.+% return p.a.

Only one month in FSM now, appreciate all the sharing made here by different people.

I was in a presentation by a fund manager not long ago.

In his slides, he showed the distributions per quarter which looked really attractive for the whole year.

I was about to hold my hand up to ask whether that's just distributions, or it it real ROI?

He must have guessed what I was about to ask when he mumbled something about yes, yes, left-pocket, right-pocket, etc.

I didn't bother asking then, and focused on consuming the free dinner instead.  smile.gif
