Ok! I agree. Dragged down by Select Opportunity. Switched all my HSAO to Select Asia Quantum, now very big exposure in Asia small cap. What do you use to substitute your Select Opportunity big cap portion?

In the end.. Still waiting to top up RHB-OSK GEYF. Do you still top up your PGSF?
*
Hwang Select Opportunity (the EPF-compliant one, thus min. 70% exposed to Bolehland). It only increased my overall exposure to Bolehland by 1%, not significant. It has been more resilient than Hwang Select Asia ex Japan Opportunity.

PGSF...I top up once every two times I top up RHB-OSK GEYF.

Wait, slow down bro.. What? Sorry didn't get you. What fund you have now for big cap? Used to be Hwang Select Asia ex Jap Opportunity, now?

Last year focused a lot on HSAQ and neglected PGSF. This year might need put more attention to it. I rmb you said PGSF serves like a support to RHB-GEYF in case it fails to deliver.. Now? What role does it serve?

From the look of it, PGSF has biggest exposure on HK and US standing at 27.59% and 23.54%.

Looks like can focus on PGSF and GEYF this year...
*
I switched Select Asia ex Japan Opportunity units to Select Opportunity, it's min. 70% invested in Bolehland, MAINLY large caps. Furthermore, PGSF is also heavy on Asia ex Japan large caps.

Long-term RHB-OSK GEYS beats PGSF, but there are times when PGSF shines. So, I allocate GEYF 2:1 PGSF for my global allocation.

BRI ?
"I can't say for sure if we have hit bottom in these markets, but they have taken quite a beating in recent months. So, they are quite cheap at this stage. I am investing into them not because I am sure that we will see an immediate recovery in these markets starting this week or even the next, but going by the history of many markets, I am quietly confident that they will eventually recover and when they do, I will be ready to catch that upside." by Wong Sui Jau blog....he recommended and buying into Europe Emerging Mkts & Latin America though.

Chances of foreign take over?
Chances of lack of cash flow?

Good read. Read till the first point. Value.

I realize for UT I have been adopting value investing. From the year of reading and talking with Pink, always invest when market low (value high).

But I don't really adopt that when it comes to stock. So far luck is on my side. Didn't really get burn. Certainly need to be more of a fundamental investor.
*
With stocks, u CAN take advantage of market momentum, i.e. good company may not make u money, bad company can help u make money, lots of inefficiencies to be taken advantage of. But with UTs, u cannot do that. icon_idea.gif

Yes. But in the long term good fundamental stock will always reflect in the stock price. I have been investing based on the projects awarded to them- although not sure when revenue will start to be recognize.

Woiii, why are you guys on forum. It's Saturday!!! Better we all meet up and blow water smile.gif

Pink Spider if you sold off a fund completely, do you still keep the transaction you made (all buy and sell) and hide it OR you delete entirely?
*
If u delete it, portfolio IRR will be out.

Hmm.. Right...

So meaning I just keep leave it for my IRR purposes? Just need to ensure my total cost is zero. Total units zero, and I don't think I need to update my latest NAV date and price right?

Tried doing so, no changes to IRR %. Only when I delete the whole thing (fund data) got changes..
*
U can hide it somewhere as long as within range of your XIRR formula wink.gif

So mafan. Need hide. Worksheet not nice already. Side number not in sequence already. Haha. OCD much. On the other hand, return % very nice tongue.gif

Overweight HSAQ now. 20% of my total portfolio!!!

I cut and paste all my disposed holdings on top...all hide at top but within range of XIRR calculation. So that my visible ones are all my current holdings.
