Guys, (somewhat) industry insider news:

A bank is offering my company higher money market deposit rate. Sign of competition for liquidity among banks, or sign of interest rate hike? hmm.gif

Action today:
Selling some bond fund units, moving to Cash Management Fund park there waiting for opportunities. Furthermore, 2.94% yield of CMF is not bad at all.

Steady dividends from a company can be a good sign. But, those dividends alone can’t tell an investor much about its reliability or sustainability. Ultimate, investors have to pay attention to a company’s cash flows.

Before investing in any dividend-paying share, it pays to look beneath the hood for potential danger signs such as those mentioned above. Not every dividend paying share is a good investment just because it is paying a dividend.

US Russia tension arise again... US and EU threatened economic sanction on Russia... In a twist of fate...Crimean autonomy region voted majority to be back to Russia....this angered Ukraine current government and US...let see how the drama unfold...

Now it's only the Parliament...they still need a public referendum. West often talk about human rights...what if overwhelming majority voted for secession? Interesting indeed, Western ideals biting them back brows.gif

Pink, your annualized return is greater than EPF? Mine below EPF - feels like wasting time better put in EPF?
*
UT IRR from commencement is 5.4%, past 12 months about 4%++ blush.gif

Stock portfolio total return (divvy + paper gains + gains from disposed stocks)...close to 20% rclxms.gif

My stock portfolio also around there..

4%+ as well? What's stopping u from not putting money in EPF but invest in UT? It's only been 1 year 2 months since my first equity investment. So we'll see how this year goes..
*
Diversification, bro...diversification.

Performance dragged by Hwang Select Asia ex Japan Opportunity, weakness in GEM (which I've huge exposure to) and also AmDynamic Bond. If look at RHB-OSK Global Equity Yield and Pacific Global Stars, beat EPF hands down.

Why not dump all into stocks? brows.gif
