@vaiofxpro

Fund choices are subjective personal preference and risk appetite.

For newbie, you can use the recommended funds are a guide.

Going to switch out part of my Hwang Select Asia Opp into the 'fe-mes' ponzi fund. Feel like I'm wasting my time and money putting in Hwang Opp now.
*
Which fe-mes' ponzi fund? HAQF or PGSF?

I believe HAQF tried to exit from Thailand equity by cutting losses. Their holdings at Thailand has significantly reduced.

Your portfolio is too Asia ex Japan heavy. That's why your portfolio is impacted from recent noise in emerging markest including Asian region.

hmm.gif just out of curiosity sake....
when is yr next review date after this switch? how much more time do you want to give them to perform?

pls see post #1359 at page 68...
seems like the HSAQ and HSAO had been losing to MSCI and EI and AmAsia since Aug. the charts shows different route.
btw, did i interpret the chart correctly? the posted chart is when i click 6 mths...but if i click 12 mths...HSAQ is still the best. Why it is so? hmm.gif
*
HSAQ focuses on small cap which has higher potential to perform as compared to HSAO that focuses more blue chips and dividends.

Guys, what do u think of HwangIM's staying away from Australian equities? Hwang Select Asia Opp and Ponzi Quantum got zero Aussie equities, which have one of the highest yields in the region.
*
Volatility of AUS?

Downgraded by FSM?

To increase exposure in developed market, you may consider:

1. CIMB-PRINCIPAL GLOBAL TITANS FUND
2. ABERDEEN ISLAMIC WORLD EQUITY FUND
3. RHB-OSK GLOBAL EQUITY YIELD FUND

KAF GLOBAL EQUITIES FUND is not recommended as its has 2/3 exposure at Asian market.
