 Need help for deleting 0 size file, Cant delete using cmd

i hav some 0 size file in desktop n my c: drive, it show trasparent on that file icon.
In command prompt there when type dir/w also didnt show out.

How can i delete these file. I also dont nkow how they come out suddenly

just go to folder option and then uncheck the box show hidden file and walla its gone

but those hidden file is it savety or ?
If come to c: drive i acceptable but now it's at desktop there

why hidden file at desktop ?

u might need to have AV scan first to determine whether it is a file planted by some virus or spyware... if not, most likely, the OS must have been a pest... ( i get that all the time in WIN 98, no more in XP though smile.gif . alextan99's method is just covering up the problem, but if you are really into solving it, better you tell us ur OS and version (like XP SP2 or so ...)

*0 size files are not uncommon though... dont worry too much.

I had format the HD already...

Those 0 size file n folder.... normally is doesnt at there . But suddently all drive ( c: d: e:) will come out a invisible folder call recycler n another forget what name somemore desktop also got 1 invisible file with 0 size

It look like spying what u hav delete or doing ( sometime will get 1 invisibel file call "desktop" inside is note down what u hav delete or changing ) ...

Oh, ur case is a bit funny.

1st of all, Recycler is NOT a problem. It is a folder used to store ur Deleted Items in the Recycle Bin. It is a SYSTEM FOLDER. Leave it be.

The file u mean bt y invisible like "desktop" is worth pondering. Is it a INI file or INF file of HTT file? (**INI -- Configuration File, INF -- Setup Information File, HTT -- HypetText Template File) These file types might indicate a sign of a WILD virus being funny... But since you reformated ur HDD d, i guess hard to track back...
