QUOTE(justnits @ Nov 4 2013, 03:56 PM) i've tried clear with 62g...that's quite an insta oh. but acrylic casing is nice when you have full LED on your board. tips i got from kaiserreich, avoid acrylic casing, as it will give u less satisfying typing feeling compared to stock casing. eh how was A.87? i kinda blur actually reading it in GH |

QUOTE(justnits @ Nov 4 2013, 04:03 PM) i suppose acrylic casing = nice to see but not nice to type, more expensive than stock, but cheaper than aluminium case i thought that guy said.. GB start today right? if not mistaken.. stock casing = ok to see, ok to type, no need spend extra money aluminium casing = nice to see, nice to hold, once scratched, your heart ache like mad with your wallet crying when you bought it. wat is it about a.87 that u aren't sure about? |

QUOTE(justnits @ Nov 4 2013, 04:14 PM) haha...so far over here can see only me n ainuddin appears interested, but pretty sure there will be submarine A87 user wan oh wow.. that's alot of things. how much budget do you have for this?kaiserreich had experience with the older version of a.87. according to him, the previous versions doesn't have SMD diodes soldered. so u need to get your own SMD diodes, switches, leds, and resistors for the leds. and soldering smd is quite a b****. so far from what we can see in gh, sprit mentions that all of it are presoldered. just need to know if that includes resistors as well or not. EDITED : ok got it now.. sorry. This post has been edited by Sup2Nic: Nov 4 2013, 04:25 PM |

QUOTE(justnits @ Nov 4 2013, 04:29 PM) i have them switches ready already which i harvested from a faulty board. where you get the faulty board? i saw WYSE board selling at good price in Taobao. but i don't know all of the switch on that board can be use or not.getting leds from taobao since i just saw some new ice blue leds appearing in some taobao store and i'm preparing to ikat perut for the metal case if it's nice and appealing to my eyes. otherwise, i'll slowly save again for other case while getting the pcb first. and i just found out that blue switches from different brand of boards have varying spring force @.@ varying force from 45-58g just for blue switch alone. My SOS no confident... maklumlah first time wanna have own custom board.. ya i think i have to consider about casing if i wanna get a.87... metal case price just tooo @_@ either carbon or acrylic.. but since you mention acrylic is not the best.. i think carbon.. should be ok i guess? lol. that source useful (Y) This post has been edited by Sup2Nic: Nov 4 2013, 04:37 PM |
