No use at all for Acrylic "plate", plate will surely be more solid and firm. No one will able to see that transparent acrylic plate with keycaps on though

it only looks nice/works with stock or thin backlit keycaps.
if u change other keycaps, i think ur bottoming out will hit the caps already.
worse if u're using cherry profile keycaps.

And the plate. I do have plan to get another 60% as my main keyboard. Life without F-rows, arrow key, and the rest of the button doesn't feel so bad.
I'm a minimalism and I try hard to minimal everything including kitchen. Then my wife came, she turn my life to maximalism. But too bad I can't minimized those three headphone amplifiers. And the amplifiers and headphone is the reason I'm quite slow upgrading my keyboard.
