Is it worth upgrading from AdAware Personal to Plus or even Pro? Seeing that it is quite popular, the free version I mean, are the versions which costs $ worth paying for? Is it better at spotting malware?

from my experience, not really. Other than having Ad-Watch which acts something like adware n spyware Real Time monitoring, I doubt it has enhanced capabilities.

totally agreed. dont pay a cent to adware. recently my browser hv been hijack. But even the pro version does not detect it. Windows defender detect but cant clean (BSOD appear everytime). Spyware doctor finished the job for me.

The ad-watch seems laggy for me. You will feel a big different if you open it while gaming (forget to close it while playing online game).

From my experience, Ad Watch is not worth it. If you are really tempted to get a version, go get the retail. I can't comment about Spyware Doctor because I used it once, and it was like buggy. I trashed soon after. Mi ght try later. MS Antispyware / Windows Defender should be able to detect Browser Hijacks. Same for Spybot's Tea Timer.

TO Ee_ : Plz read the rules and regulations of LYN Forum. Even if you might like to suggest something, plz censor it or at least hint it. Dont be so obvious. This is not a warez forum. THX.

Post from Ee_ deleted. No pirated talk is allowed.

I'd personally prefer Windows Defender, paying for a antispyware doesn't really worth the money.
