Same thread but different story

I'm using Gecube X300SE HyperMemory 256MB

Stock setting
Core Clock = 325 MHz
Memory Clock = 400MHz (200x2)
Pipeline = 4

Last night i overclock my card to the maximum and refer to the picture

From the picture, shows my clock settings from AtiTool and Rivatuner.

Overclock Settings
Core Clock = 486 MHz
Memory Clock = 1620 MHz (810x2)

I got problem here. This setting score (3dMark01SE and 3DMark03) same as i dont overclock this GC.

For your information, i run with this setting without any single artifact.

I want to ask whether
-My gc has broken pipeline?
-Faulty?
-Or the AtiTool and Rivatuner playing with me? tongue.gif

Mem = 516.38x2 = 1032.76MHz

Addtional info
At the gc, there's only an original heatsink(without fan) cover the core chip n no other heatsink placed on my memory..!!

now i placed my rig in the air-conditioned room..!!
0.6A fan blow the air to the gc
I want to ask that

will this overclock settings can cause my gc get harm??
or other effect i will get??

that is ur max, but u r not nescessary to use max speed.. as if u revise again, that is a big jump expecially for memory

but i have placed my rig in the air-con room wit 0.6A 92mm fan blow the air to the heatsink..!! hmm.. dont hav any idea wut will happen to my gc for short term blush.gif

Additional question..

how can i check my gc temperature?? can use software? Gecube didnt give me any temperature check software lik my msi fx5200

what is PCI express bus?? my board has setting 2500MHz for the PCI express Bus. What is the function to my gc?

test for artifacs witout air-con and realize there hav an artifacs...
running at standard clock again..~!

and i want to know if my gc hav minor defects??

It won't la.. Don't run in full potential for too long lar.. if not after burn..
Try to set the atitool to turn on only if they detects 3d stuff.. So, ur GC don't OC all the time.. Btw, that is ur MAX OCed settings without artifact.. if you remove ur fan or turn off ur room;s air cond... sure got artifact edi coz tempeture risen.. wink.gif

what's the best cooler for my gc core, since my gc only have heatsink (dont have any fan) so that i can clock higher then the default core clock??

wonder if anyone use this card, whats the highest core clock that this card can go with stable and safe?

IMO your card is so low end, it's hardly worth the time and hassle to OC it.

artifacts are not necessarily due to defect, you may have just pushed your card over the limits. smile.gif

i use ATItools myself. what's nice about ATItool is that you can set the utility to detect 3D mode and start OCed mode only when needed. smile.gif my stock speed is 398:486 - OCed speed (when i game) 591:560. biggrin.gif

Anyway, i check with Rivatuner, AtiTool and all 3rd Party software and shows my GC Core Clock and Memory Clock as stated at first post (i mean i overclock with this settings). I'm so weird bcoz as i know my gc cant go with this setting before. hmm.gif

if the results is just the same before n after OC then there must be some problem with ur setting sumwhere hmm.gif
