stamp duty is rm 1 per thousand transacted right? only 0.1%.
so gov should be in favour of GST.... icon_question.gif
*
sounds impossible to implement gst 6% on transacted value
let's say if gst on transacted value. assuming 1b transaction everyday
gov earns 60M a day
if you have 100k transaction, kena gst 6k? need to make sure you get 6% profit before you buy anything?
klse will surely collapse

in fact, 0.1% on transacted value vs 6% gst on brokerage sounds more reasonable
and the former one sounds more attractive
if 100k transaction
0.1% = 100myr
6% = 0.42%x100kx6% = 25.2myr
if you were the gov, you wanna change the system?

To roll out LTE, each company will need to double their 3G base stations... hence maybe that is why many rumor of spectrum sharing and rental/acquiring is rife.

if you got twice as much spectrum, means you have twice as much base stations.  rclxms.gif
*
this depends on the frequency of the spectrum to launch lte
the higher spectrum used will require a more dense base stations
if i'm not mistaken, yellow man is currently using 2,600 MHz
whereas its competitor are using 1,800 MHz
wimax is running on 2,300 MHz, in other words, the base stations are close to each other
so, is this infrastructure useful to yellow man?

anyway, if digi can do lte alone, i POTONG!!
unless they switch to lower frequency spectrum, which is quite unlikely

Thats maybe why they want to acquire lower spectrum.

WiMax is running at 2300 mhz.. means can easily convert to LTE. Hence the stations are valuable. tongue.gif

But There are 2 players on 2300 mhz wiMax.. P1 and YES...

And YES actually have MORE base stations than P1...  but P1 is more interested to sell...laugh.gif

Market is estimating p1 is worth .1 billion, but YES built up all their base stations for less than 500 million...  hmm.gif
*
if combined,
2,300 MHz has 30MHz bandwidth
2,600 MHz has 40MHz bandwidth
if they are going for data in the long term, they could utilize both spectrums and stations

YES has around 4,000 bas stations, which is double compared to P1
but i think they spent more than 500M, should be close to 2B back in May

QUOTE
While WiMax’s losses have eased in this quarter, we do not expect any turnaround in this division this year. Thus far, over 4,000 base stations have been built, out of the group’s target of 5,000 stations. The capex spent so far on WiMax has reached RM1.8bil with a subscriber base over 400,000.

but, YES has gov contracts, don't think it is interested to sell

Ahhh... the person to ask that one question.

So what do you think logically of OSKVI dumping of their shares when GP was 60+ sen?

Like to hear your opinion.
For me..  sweat.gif
I would assume OSKVI got their think tank.. agree?
Surely their think tank got big big fat calculator...
Surely their think tank got their own source of info...
So when they dump some 7 million shares, this tells me, OSKVI think tank thinks very little of the possibility of a deal.
Why?
The CC Puan factor lor.
My guess only hor.  icon_rolleyes.gif
Like to hear yours. smile.gif
*
hah. ok, here's my noob opinion
the reasons could be a plenty ranging from manipulation to what you've said, ie ccpuan
but, let's make it simple and focus on ccpuan, aka the major decision maker
i believe everyone wanna sell at a good price
at this rate, gp sure go into pn17 soon
then what will happen to his 32% shareholding?? sweat.gif
i am sure his neck is not too stiff to find something in between
cheers icon_rolleyes.gif

Wait too long.... err .... masuk angin lor. tongue.gif
ps: Ego can gets into the way..... all the time.

So you think OSKVI selling is manipulation?
Why would they want to risk doing that?
*
32% is about 100M at the current market price
if really masuk pn17, guess what's the price like
i doubt anyone's neck is stiffer than tens of millions

why do you think it's a risk to do so?

Just to share and for info I base my sin kar 'theory' on chart ok.  sweat.gif

When GP was hot hitting 64 sen, the price stalled for a while.
It's normal and the stalling looked like a very good form of price consolidation after the stock made a strong run from 30+ sen.

Everything was looking good.
Any further push, could see the stock hitting 80 sen or even 1 buck.
That's how I felt about it.

Then OSKVI sold.

Now isn't that the dumbest thing to do?

As the second largest shareholder, by selling, they put the negative thought into the market.
Everything... I mean ... everything is shot to pieces.
One can throw the value thing into the longkang.

Would they manipulate that ... and say... sell and then buy back lower?
What's the price now? 54 sen?
Sell at 60 sen and then buyback at 54 sen?

For a normal Ah Wong and Ah Ong and Ah Tan traders, this is a good tactic.  thumbup.gif
Sell and buyback and sell again.
Wash rinse and repeat all over again.

But would those selling do OSKVI and GP stock any good?
Wouldn't OSKVI want to see GP sell at 80 sen?
Or 1 buck?
Would OSKVI risk that to just to earn some extra loose change by selling and buyback a little bit lower?

I have my doubts.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
thanks for your chart info icon_rolleyes.gif
i also feel that the price could have gone higher if not for them selling
in fact, this is what gives me the idea of manipulation

let's say they genuinely think there is no deal and wanna dispose the shares
why dispose at 0.6x?? their think tank calculator broken?
given their huge shareholding, they could have started to dispose at a higher price
and why not dispose continuously??
dispose on 4th and announce on 8th??
dispose again on 10th and announce on 11th?
note that the price on 7th and 8th are still above 0.60 with good volume
why not dispose continously on 4th, 7th, 8th until the announcement was made??

and do note that the shares traded in between 0.45 to 0.50 for some time
furthermore, if the deal really materialize, this could be a method to suppress the price, not to earn any loose change

well, just my idea sweat.gif
you could be right as well
but i am willing to take the risk icon_rolleyes.gif
