Here's a couple of points.

IWH IPO delayed is already an old news. It's an already known issue with IWH probably listed in 1Q next year.

UEMS downgraded to HOLD a few months ago?

A very subjective issue.

What's your exact definition of a few months ago?
A few months ago, UEMS price was really....



If your definition of a few months ago was May or June, UEMS was well above 3.50.
A downgrade of UEMS then would have made logicial sense.
Price was really crazy then.

What's the price of UEMS now?
Is it as crazy?

UEMS closed at 2.50 yesterday.
That's a price difference of over 1.00 if compared to May or June 2013.

Latest one, which is yesterday, I see RHB maintain their HOLD recommendation for UEMS with a TP of 2.73.

I find that incredible.

Look down the table, you can see the same old RHB issuing a TRADING BUY on UEMS (UEMS was trading at 3.65) on 29/5 with a Target Price of 4.25!!!

In May, RHB recommended buy on UEMS with a TP of 4.25.
By end Aug, when UEMS had CRASHED down to a low of 2.47, RHB changed their recommendation to HOLD with a TP of 2.73.

I can understand your reason to be skeptical with the new RPGT structure but I, myself, is not so sure. Why? Because I don't think the 1 million min policy will prevent buyers from Singapore from buying.
For them 1 million ringgit is nothing.
In Singapore, what can they get for 1 million ringgit equivalent?
Furthermore, I know a lot of Sporeans are feeling so rich when they come over to M'sia to their strongger SGD.
That's just my opinion but I think people like Top Gun is more knowledgeable on this issue than me.

Back to IWH.
I actually can see some reason to speculate. ( OMG ! )
Why? Cos I got a feeling this is going to be a mega IPO.
Just a gut feeling nia.
Nothing to back this up.
But if this a worthwhile speculation, then before the IPO is listed, there's a chance for another round of Iskandar stock plays.
It's not even a wild speculation actually.
You take stocks like Daiman and check their financial records recently.
The numbers are really solid, backed with strong cash flows and sold earnings growth and the valuation is really cheap.
So, if I am not wrong and talking 3 talking 4 , I see some valid reason to speculate in these counters.
And for stocks, the taikor had been Terbau and then followed by UEMS.
