You break even with a 3-3(50 gold + 1 pack[100 gold] is the average reward for 3-3) so I would suggest you to still play it if you have the time. It's not wasted time either because you are actually improving by playing the matches.

I averaged 4.5(based on arenamastery) and 86 golds per arena so I am earning a slight profit of 36 golds per arena, assuming that 100 of the entrance fee is used to buy the expert pack.

Try drafting either mage or paladin if you see them if you are to optimized about winning(unless you have a preferred class) since they are the two top dogs in arena.

High HP minions are surprisingly strong as they are hard to remove with a single removal spell or from a single attack so I am eventually getting card advantage through that sustain plus my "healing removal", especially from the Soulpriest + Farseer combo. It's like having a Fire Elemental.
