shaman is a good one. very dependable mana curve hero. but it is nice to see shaman as a main. Well stocked hero and less people using it as a main. Even myself disliking shaman. GL though biggrin.gif

why seldom use as main leh? ._.

You can play different style without overload, it's a good hero.
*
but overload cards are good right? stil not sure how to play around them ><

QUOTE(jian90 @ Jan 25 2014, 08:54 AM)
if you go and watch some of the official tourney or semi-competitive competition, top draws hero aren't shaman. very rare to see shaman as the top 3 hero.
I think it is because of the lagfest, too many players. Btw, i'm using 4mb streamyx.
I know, but some of the spell and minion were too good not to be overlooked. Plus, my style of play isn't really suit shaman. And I hate bloodlust. I always forgot they always keep that card till last card.
*
what are the top 3s?

u hate it as in its good?

I guess you're right.

Since an hour ago, I've been playing 10 games with my Paladin.

5 games with my Aggro Paladin = 2 wins 3 losses

5 games with my Control Paladin = 4 wins and 1 loss

My Paladin Aggro will always lose damage race sad.gif

Murlocs are just mad...with variants of Bloodlust and Draw Power.

My control Paladin lost to a freaking Jaraxxus! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...!!
Btw, my worst ever booster loot...so sad...

Sylvanas nerf doesn't mean nothing to her. Opponent still have to kill her before proceed unless they had a silence.

But since you played overload card, means you mana curve is very very important. Try to value 1st. Can you drag to the late game or mid game. Play more games, better experience of your deck and better insight bout the mana curve.

If you want to play the beast, it is gooding for 6mana cards. But the drawback is the minion he spawned.  Can you nullify the minion or threat the opponent had.
Still you have to play more of your decks to know.

Baron geddon for me is no-no for shaman. It kills your totem and damage your other minion. Unless you planned to clear opponents hand. It got it uses but I don't think it suited shaman game style.

Plus you wanted to play charge and windfury/bloodlust. My idea is go for early/mid rush or aggro. More small minion to end game faster.

okay.. so i put sylvanas in my deck?

cuz was thinking if i dust her, i can craft few core cards of shaman..

can i mix overload and early/mid rush?

thx sifu =) i go try and see biggrin.gif

i think imma dust my baron and get cards for shaman.. maybe earth element biggrin.gif

up to you. people got his saying bout sylvanas. You can mix&match. See her can suit your gameplay or not. If not, ditch her. Since you wanted to overload/earlymidrush

Overload and early/mid rush. If your mana curve allows you then why not. You have to experience yourself. Is it enough or not. Remember it depends on opponents hero too.
*
okay noted =)
i try and see.. using sylvana and faceless manipulator..

btw for the full refund of dust for sylvana.. any idea will last until when ah? they din give a designated period of time .

This 1 requires some math counts, percentage, probability and of course, self-experience.

Graphically, just look at the curve bar in the game, if it looks like mountain (low-high-low) it should be okay, there are castable stuff every turn. It's okay to have more 4mana cost cards than the rest because by turn 8 you can cast your power cards twice in a row, depending on your play style bah.

By experience, you will feel so stressed having cards in your hands but no resources/purpose to use (dead cards) if you always felt that way, means something is not synergized there.
(Having so much buffs but no creatures to apply it onto / So much heals but no damage to give against / so many creatures queuing for attack but no board clearers)

Common setups would be (Summon:Spell:Weapon) 20/8/2 , 23/7/0, 21/9 and 18/12 [Based on some videos and articles I've read/watched from top players]

Mana curve will define your deck progression.

Let's just assume, in totality the higher the mana cost of a card, as a single card, the better it is.

Heavy 1-3 mana : ensure board control during the first 5 turns.

Heavy 4-6 mana : most likely able to regain board control during 6th turn onwards.

Heavy 7 mana : you'd probably die in the first 5 turns.

So, most control decks will have their power punch cards on 4th turn onwards and when the opponent can't catch up the pace, they're most likely going to pancit.

Paladins can take beatings with miniatures until 4th turn for Consecration wipe the board, or wait till 5th turn for Wild Pyromancer+Equality kicks in.
Priests can take beatings and answer with Holy Nova.
Warlocks can answer most threats with Hellfire.
Mages can pew2 from as low as 1 to 2 to 3 to 7 .ok well they can wipe giants too with +spell power stacking.

While aggro decks will most likely set up for the kills before turn 7. My aggro deck I recently built is on 70.59% win rate in 17 games. I either manage to kill before 7th or I'd die trying.
The risk here is I will always lose against a Control deck if they get to live past turn 7. (Priests with hospital worth of heals, Mages with a giant air-cond and druids with so much fur!)

Lol imagine the catastrophe I didn't wrap the game 1 turn earlier.
